Who are these God's?

This made Uni gasp in amazement, "The Heavenly Order...that's such a cool name. Does this name mean something."

" Glad you asked, of course it has a meaning. The story contains lots of unnecessary details so I'll try to shorten it to an understandable length."  Quin said

"Ok so, it began many years ago when the humans were still at war with the Seki. Before mankind was given the petals, the God's tried to help by giving them something that could make humans evolve constantly. And that's when they thought of the Heavenly Order."

"Since they knew humans were fond of video games, they tried to create something fun, easy to use, and most importantly something to help them get stronger."

Uni was still staring at Quin waiting for her to continue, but she didn't. " Come on, tell me what happened next, they couldn't have succeeded because nobody else has a system right?"

"Hold on, I was just about to get to that."

"The plan the God's had seemed great in theory but it was executed entirely wrong. Once they believed the Heavenly Order was good enough to give to people, the God's began slowly experimenting on others, but they didn't expect the Heavenly Order to do harm to humans. Everyone who was given a system died a few days later so the Heavenly Order operation was shut down and the God's never attempted to help again." Uni was stunned by the end of the story and remained silent for a moment then he asked a few questions, " So what does that make me and the princess? Why do I have the Heavenly Order if it was supposedly shut down?"

"That's something I'm also trying to figure out. I'm not sure why you have a system, or even the princess. Although she doesn't have the Heavenly Order, she still has a system which is strange. I've been trying to find out what's the reason this happened for a while with no avail." Uni watched as Quin's face became very solemn as she began talking about it. He obviously wanted to inquire a bit more but also didn't want to accidentally mention a sensitive subject and ruin the mood. ^I wonder how life was back during those times. I couldn't imagine how it must've felt going to war^ Glancing at Quin, he had another question but he didn't voice it, ^How does she even know about this, did the gods tell the story to her directly, because she talks as if from experience^

Under his breath he said, "Too many unanswered questions." Quin looked at Uni and realized she probably dumped a lot on him unintentionally. "With all that being said I haven't exactly told you how this relates to getting stronger. The God's were what you call egotistical so when coming up with ways to increase strength, they thought that I would be best to keep it within the realm of the Gods."

"What do you mean by that?"

"The God's thought that the way you should be able to increase strength is by learning about the God's. What I mean by this is that you would have to learn everything about a certain God if you wanted to get as strong as possible."

Uni's mood was instantly brought down upon this news, "You're telling me I have to study in order to get stronger. Which God thought that was a good idea? How is this fun?"

"I figured you would react like that, but I'll tell you there is another way to get your level up, but I won't tell you."

Hearing this Uni was enticed to ask why, but he thought it would be pointless, ^Honestly if she was not telling me, there's probably a reason. Even if there wasn't a reason for concealing the information, my brain can't take too much more. I'll find out eventually.^

"I'm ready to study these God's... I guess."

"Love the enthusiasm." Quin said giggling, "Now that you understand what needs to happen, we can go back to the Palace."

After hearing that, Uni swiftly stood up and ran away, "You think I'm about to let myself feel that level of pain again? I'd rather just stay here."

"Relax, it shouldn't hurt this time." Touching Uni's head once again, he closed his eyes and was almost in tears from the anticipation, but as time continued he felt nothing.

Slowly Uni opened his eyes and found himself back inside the room sitting near the window.

"What'd I say, painless." Looking out the window, Shock permeated his face. Out the window Uni was greeted with a bright sun.

"Wait, wasn't it just the late afternoon, how is it midday now?" But before Quin could answer, Uni got a knock on the door.

Quin then instantly vanished as he walked over and opened the door. Lvle was standing there with the King next to him.

Glancing up at the King Uni noticed how much taller he was than himself. "Uhm- what are you guys doing here?"

"How could you forget?! It's time for you to show me where the Apple is!" Tapping his shoulder, lvle whispered to Uni, "Sorry for his energy, he's just a bit over enthusiastic because of the Apple."

"Nah man it's ok, if I had ice petals then I'd probably be just as excited as him."

Closing the door behind him, Uni, Lvle and the King began heading out. As they walked, Uni noticed how the windows continued to decrease and the walls darkened.

"Aren't we leaving, I don't remember coming in this way."

"This is the way we have to leave in order for us not to get noticed outside." Lvle explained clearing up Uni's confusion.

At the end of hallway, there were stairs that gave off vibes of purgatory with how void of energy it seemed.

"Dad, the maids really start cleaning this, it makes this side of the Palace feel abandoned." Lvle said coughing and blowing dust particles from face.

"Yes, I know, but after you left we didn't really leave the house much so this exit wasn't utilized."  Lvle had a guilty appearance as he was reminded of his dumb decision to leave just because he didn't want to go to school.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs the King opened a door which left light flooding in rapidly.

"Ok boys, lead the way!"
