Chapter 3

At the Temple, in the old mansion, the old lady who was sipping tea, noticed that Melias came home alone. She frowned, "where is Yulias?" Melias ignored her but she didn't get angry. It was a natural occurrence for Melias to pretend that she didn't exist. She asked again. "Where did your brother go off to?"

This time, Melias spoke with a cold expression, "It's none of your business where my brother goes."

"I'm your legal guardian."

"You forgot to add 'temporary'."

"Nonetheless, I am in charge of you two whether you like it or not."

"Don't get ahead of yourself." Melias said in obvious dislike. Without looking back, Melias left for her room. The old lady sighed to herself. The lady-in-waiting passed by Melias who had an icy expression and quickly lowered her head. After she entered the room where the old lady was sitting she let out a sigh of relief. Noticing the maid's pale face, she said, "did that brat scare you or something?"

The maid looked away in embarrassment, "Miss Reus, did the young lady argue with you again?"

"SIGH. That brat is up to no good again."

Melias almost never separated from Yulias, she could tell what the twins were up to without even asking. They were trying to contact their uncles regarding the permission to go to that school. And it would be no use to try and persuade their uncles to not help them because they side with Melias and Yulias regardless of what they do. It was frustrating, but it wasn't like she could do anything about it. She wasn't exactly on good terms with Cassis and Luo. Plus, if it wasn't for the fact that Melias was poor in health, there'd be no way that she could even be a 'temporary guardian'.

She sighed again, a few days ago, she saw a glimpse of Melias and Yulias's future. Although it was blurry, she could see clearly that the trip that they were so adamant on going to would lead them to their doom. Though she couldn't really tell what kind of doom it was.

'I was lucky that I could even read into their future.'

Melias and Yulias were very special, their fates could not be read if the heavens did not allow it. And any oracle who tried to forcefully read their future would be met with a severe punishment. In the past, there was one oracle who tried to defy the heavens and read their fate, in the end, the heavens took his life. Ever since, no oracle dared to read their fate, not even she who was a renown oracle did not dare to challenge god. So the fact that she got a glimpse of the kids' future meant that God allowed it.

It felt very ominous. No matter what, she must contact Cassis and Lou before the siblings do and persuade them not to go along with their niece and nephew's wishes!

Later that night, Yulias arrived home. The maid who was sweeping outside greeted him. "Where is my sister?"

The maid answered respectfully, "in her room, young master." Yulias nodded his head in thanks and walked straight to Melias's room. He slid the door open and greeted Melias who was practicing calligraphy on talismans. "I'm home."

"Ah", Melias stopped what she was doing and smiled warmly at her brother. "Welcome back brother."

"Mmn. I went to that place you told me about."

"And? Did you meet anyone who knows where our uncle is?"

"Yeah." Yulias began to to tell Melias what happened in the afternoon.

***

"Want you to go to this address and enquire about our uncles' whereabouts." those who the words Melias said to him outside the student council room before he left for the location of the address his sister gave him. Surprisingly the location wasn't too away, however, the moment he arrived. He wanted to run away.

Yulias stared incredulously at the tall, fancy building covered in gold. Isn't this overdoing it? Who would waste their money on using real gold to build a company?! As a wealthy child who has seen and possessed gold, Yulias could tell the difference between real and fake. And… this was obviously real gold! Damn you Melias…

Yulias sighed, why him? He hates being near snobbish people and places… but, if he doesn't go inside, they'll never be able to find their uncles' whereabouts.

'Melias this is torture.'

He didn't want to go in, but when he thought of facing Melias's disappointed face if he didn't go, he shook his head. He didn't want that. He would rather face the snobbish people than to see Melias disappointed in him.

After he entered the gaudy company building he went to the receptionist stating his purpose. "I'd like to see chairman Kwon Woo-Sung." surprise flashed through the receptionist's eyes, "do you have an appointment?"

"No."

The receptionist smiled, "then I'm afraid that you cannot meet the chairman without any prior appointment."

'Does this kid think that he can meet the chairman whenever he wants?'

"Call him."

"Parden?"

"I said call that damn snobbish chairman of yours. Tell him to come down now."

The receptionist's smile almost cracked.

'This rude brat.'

"I'm afraid I can't do this."

"Tell him the nephew of Cassis and Luo wants to meet him!"

The receptionist who was about to call security to take away this rude teenager suddenly paused in her tracks.

'D-did he just say Cassis..?' that multi billionaire?!'

Calm down. This kid just said that untouchable person was his uncle?! The receptionist carefully scrutinized Yulias's appearance… They don't look alike. But then again, there weren't many children who looked like their uncles. After contemplating for 10 seconds, the receptionist decided to call for the chairman. To her surprise, the chairman told her that he would come down as soon as possible.

'I guess.. He wasn't lying?' the receptionist put down the phone in a daze. It's… it's a good thing that she didn't chase the boy away immediately, otherwise she would have offended a big shot and that would be the end of her career.

10 minutes later Chairman Kwong Woo-Sung arrived. "Sorry to keep you waiting!"

"Hmph. you are an acquaintance of my uncles?" Yulias was in a bad mood so when he spoke, his voice was full of gloomy contempt. Kwon Woo-Sung was clueless and spoke in a friendly manner, "no. only one of them. And I heard you're looking for them?"

"Yeah, so can you hurry up and tell me already? I want to leave this snobbish place as soon as possible."

The chairman took a direct hit from Yulias's ruthless remark, "Isn't it too much call this place snobbish? What part of this noble company is snobbish?!"

Yulias smirked, "the exterior of your company building is made of real gold. If that's not snobbish then I don't know what is."

"... haha, you're really as Melias and Cassis described."

A ruthless and straightforward kid.

"Why don't we take this conversation upstairs?"

Kwon Woo-Sung led Yulias to his office, after sitting down comfortably, Yulias glared at the man sitting opposite him. "Now tell me. Where is my uncle?"

Kwon Woo-Sung didn't joke around and told him truthfully. "The last time I saw him, he said he was going to Jeju Island."

"Number." Yulias said in a commanding voice

"Ah yes." Kwon Woo-Sung wrote Cassis's phone number on a piece of paper and handed it to Yulias. "I hope you find your uncle."

"Obviously." After achieving his goal, Yulias got up and left the office without saying a word of goodbye to Kwon Woo-Sung, as he left he heard the light chuckle behind him.

***

"This is uncle Cassis's phone number." After explaining everything that happened, Yulias gave Melias the piece of paper which had their uncle's contact number. "Wow Yul, you did amazing.  Chairman Kwon is a very talkative person so I didn't think you would be able to finish the job so soon. I made the right decision asking you to go!" Melias lightly patted Yulias on the head, feeling happy to be praised, Yulias made a gratified "mn".

Melias smiled happily, with this, they will be one step to achieving their goals!

At night time, cold sweat trickled down Reun as she slowly sunk deeper and deeper into her unpleasant dream.

'Where am I?'

Reun looked around her surroundings. There was nothing but an endless red sea accompanied by destroyed buildings and corpses.

She saw a bright golden light, she didn't know why, but she was instantly attracted to it. Seeing it leave towards a certain direction, she chased after it.

When it suddenly stopped, the Golden light transformed into a beautiful Golden dragon which shocked Reun.

'A dragon?!'

Before she had the time to calm down a majestic silver dragon flew from the sky and attacked the golden dragon causing strong waves which inevitably pushed Reun back.

'Ugh!'

Fortunately, Reun managed to keep herself from being blown away. The 2 dragons duked it out with each other. When Reun saw the 2 mystical beings stop fighting, she breathed out a sigh of relief. However, her relief did not last last long.

The 2 dragons condensed a large ball of mana and released it at each other causing both to perish. The impact blew Reun away. The scenery changed, Reun who thought that it was finally over noticed the still corpses lying in a pool of blood.

As soon as she layed her eyes on the corpse, she was shocked to see a young girl resembling Auryn, Melias and Yulias's friend! Or rather… It was Auryn! She slowly realized the bodies Klein of and Enisha lying lifelessly on the ground, and then, a platinum golden hair.

'Yulias?!'

Yulias lay in a pool of blood, Reun ran towards him, she abruptly halted her movements when she saw the figure of Melias being lifted in the air by the by a silver haired man with dark silver horns poking out from his head. He gripped her neck tightly in one hand and held a weapon with resembled a stalactite. Reun couldn't make out the man's face, however, that wasn't important! What was important was that she needed to prevent that man from killing her!

However, how could she reach Melias in time when they were so far away? The man peirce the weapon through the child's chest.

'NO!!'

Reun reached her hand out, but it was too late. Melias died. Before she could mourn she vision went black.

***

"Haaa! Haa!" Reun woke up soaked in sweat Panting for dear life. What she just witnessed was too real to be a dream. Taking a few deep breaths, she felt fear in her heart as she questioned herself in her mind.

'Is this… a prophecy..?'
