Chapter 25: Tournament
"Wow, that's a lot more people than I thought" Perseus observed as a very large crowd excitedly go into an arena.
"Well if you make it far enough like Dabria to the quarter final, you'll get to be in the coliseum like Dabria, except that we were in Gloria" Nova patted his back "8 arenas, one from each arena will proceed to the coliseum"
"Sounds more nerve wrecking than I thought, it's alright to show off a bit right?"
"Of course" Elliot slapped his back "You'll just put on a show, act a bit arrogant, people would love that"

"Damn, you're muscular and big like they say" Perseus whistles "Though you're getting bald at such a young age, you should go to see a healer about that"
Bronx then covered his head in a bit of embarrassment like as if Perseus hit a sore topic. He was shirtless, muscular, and 184cm tall.
"And I heard that one of your instructor is the hero I look up to" he snarled back "My family tried many times to get him you know, we offered a lot of money, but nothing. I'll be beating you here and prove him wrong to pick you as a student instead of me"
"You 2 know the rules?" The referee asked
"Yeah, anything goes, but no killing" Perseus answered
"Yes, and I'm allowed to stop the match whenever I determine one side is unable to continue" the referee nodded "To your positions!"
They then created some distance, Bronx got out a pair of gauntlets and Perseus got out his dual pistols.
"Start!" The referee shouted as the fight starts
Perseus then starts shooting as Bronx charged in, Bronx then used his arcana to created a thick barrier on one of his arms, which he use as a shield as he charged in.
"What is he doing?!" Axel exclaimed as he held his head "Is he trying to engage Bronx in close combat?!"
"Just watch" Ace calmed him down as he got petted by Eliza "His training will finally show off"
Perseus then shot to the ground about 3m in front of Bronx, a rune circle then appeared on the spot that he shot at. Bronx then stopped in his tracks as he sees the rune circle but didn't let his guard down.
Perseus then run on the rune circle, Bronx then swung his fist, Perseus shot at the rune circle and activate it, and the moment his shot touched the rune circle, it glowed and launched him into the air.
Perseus looked down and aimed his guns at Bronx, an orb of arcana then appeared in front of each of his pistol and it got larger by the second. Bronx then aimed his shield upwards to block the attack but Perseus just smiled as if he was expecting it. He shot one of the orb towards Bronx, the orb then exploded into fine particles the moment it touches the shield.
"What a weak shot, why don't you shoot the other orb?" Bronx mocked as Perseus landed and aimed the other pistol at him.
Some of the particles then landed on the rune circle that helped launched Perseus upwards, the rune circle then expanded right below his feet in front of his eyes. Perseus then shot the other orb at him, Bronx blocked it again, but like before it dispersed into fine particles and landed on the rune circle, lightning then starting crackling and surge of lightning bolts burst upwards from the rune circle and electrocuted Bronx as he screamed in pain.
Perseus then aimed both his pistols at him again and charged up 2 large orb of arcana, he then shot 2 huge light beams at Bronx.
After the rune circle dissipated, Bronx appeared with his skin singed and his body enveloped by an armor made of arcana that was cracking and barely holding on, He then saw the 2 large beams headed for him. The referee then jumped in to save him as the referee then summoned a huge thick barrier to stop the shot.
"The victory goes to Perseus Silver!" The referee announced to which the crowd cheered loudly
Perseus then blew his guns and spun it into his pockets.

"What excellent control of arcana" Albert commented as he watched the fight from a far "To be able to do all that is amazing for someone his age, his talent being in the black stage definitely wasn't exaggerated, if he have any more experience and training, he's for sure going to easily become a tier 10 adventurer"
