The wall between the physical world and the spiritual world has weakened, spirits like angels and demons are using the physical world as their battle ground. 
The people in the physical world has finally managed to use Arcana, an energy that was used by spiritual beings and fought back to defend themselves.
Peace was then declared to stop the bloodshed, but damages and occasional conflicts still remains.

Arcana and Spirits

"Alone again this year, author?" The narrator asked as he walked into my room


"Someone said that to me just this morning actually, want a cookie?" I handed him a plate of chocolate chips "Dinner will be ready in 30 minutes"


"Wow, you can actually make something, pretty decent, good job"


"Well reading the instructions and following the recipes wasn't that hard you know, want a a glass of milk too?"


"This year was that rough on you?" the narrator asked as I was laying down on my couch


"Well it's not like it was that good for you either"


"Well let's hope next year is a better year, I mean, it's not like it can get any worse"


"That's exactly what I said last year, and here we are. Viruses and variants, what's next, the earth is actually donut shaped?!"


"With frosting and sprinkles on top, or just the donut? Because I would like to know the specific shape"


"How's your relationship with your girlfriend?"


"Well, better invite me to your wedding when you get married"


"Don't worry, I'll even let you be my best man"


"By the way, I'm curious, when do you think that you can do a crossover for both your novels?" The narrator asked "I bet it'll be a great Christmas present for your viewers"


"Oh I will, but it'll be confusing for even you to narrate though"
