I must have slept for a long time, cause the next time I opened my eyes, night had fallen. I felt a gentle weight upon me and I glanced down, noticing that I was wrapped inside my mother's arms. Her hands curved around my body in such a way that none of the pressure would fall on me.
Of course, my eyes briefly went to her...huge appendages..that were almost thrusting against my chest. I felt the soft but firm flesh upon my naked skin but this time I was so-o-o tired that I managed to ignore them. Barely but surely.
... okay, maybe not. I did guiltily glance down once more to see her white lacy cloth barely cover her huge boobs but I managed to ignore them when I noticed my twinkling notifications.

I waved the notifications away without looking further, directly opening my status.

I felt a sweet sense of satisfaction go through me as I observed all of my upgrades and level ups, especially the tier upgrade. But one thing was gnawing on my mind, and that was the points. Had I just Increased my strength and speed, wouldn't I have had an easier time against that dragon? ...or perhaps not. The tier difference has been too huge to catch-up by a few points. But it would've surely made some difference. Why was I saving these points anyway? They were meant to be used. They gave me an edge in terms of stats, where I'd be able to fight opponents at higher levels than me.
Without wasting time, I instantly put 15 points in strength, bringing it to 230. The dragon's single tail smack almost killed me. There was no questioning the usefulness of strength stat.
Then, I put 2 in dexterity, 1 in endurance and 4 in constitution, to bring them all in perfect 0s. After further consideration, I added another 10 points in speed, dexterity, and constitution. These were the things that kept me alive in the fight and I definitely wished to live further.
Now the conundrum was, Where should I put the rest of my points? The obvious choice was mental, considering it was the only stat that had not grown even a bit since my rebirth. Even after unlocking all of my powers and the full system, my mental stat was the same. Plus I really needed to figure out..well, everything in this mind-numbing world. Increasing my mental stat could be the way to figure out where the hell was I, what the fuck was my purpose here, and what should i do from here.
I clicked on mental stat to fill it up with points but instead of giving a sign to add the points, it gave me 3 options.
Intelligence: 8/30 (Highly Intellectual)
Wisdom: 8/35 (Mature Mortal Wisdom)
Will: 15/35 (Immortal Will)
'What the hell. The mental stat is divided into three? Why did I never notice this before...Probably because I never needed to.'
Whatever. So 30 is the highest possible intelligence a being can reach, while 35 is the peak for wisdom and will, and together the total is 100. O-okie.
I have to say though, knowing that the system considered me highly intellectual did wonders to my pride. I've always done well for myself in my school and stuff, but having confirmation that I was above average was nice. The fact that I had less than 1/3rd possible peak of intelligence was conveniently forgotten.
I wasn't really surprised to note that I had such high Will. I'd often wondered why I usually never gave up on things nowadays, even when it seemed boring and worthless. In my old life, I couldn't hold a single hobby to save my life. Even after making numerous new-year resolutions to exercise daily, I never actually followed through. This wasn't a problem for me anymore. Hell, the fact that I actually stuck to my promise of travelling the whole journey from northern Iraq to Japan on foot, even though I always had my mother's option to teleport available, should say something about my will. I definitely inherited this from my parents, and I was seriously grateful.
But now I had the option to directly increase my mental stats. My main focus was intelligence of course. That thing could help me a lot with figuring things out, plus it'll probably make using demonic magic a whole lot easier considering it worked on imagination.
And so, I directly put 7 points in intelligence to bring it to...8. what? Nothing seemed to change. The number was still the same. Didn't i put the points?
Bewildered, I checked the remaining points and indeed, they had gone down from 62 to 55. What happened? Is it...hmm. cautiously, I put 3 more points in the stat and as I'd guess, the number finally went from 8 to 9. Without thinking too much, I once again dumped a full 10 points pack in intelligence and it went from 9 to 10.
Intelligence: 10/30 (Extremely High Intellect)
Okay, so 10 points to increase a single intelligence. In hindsight, it was pretty stupid of me to consider it to increase with every point. I could've just maxed out my intelligence in one swell swoop in that case, leaving behind even gods and immortals. Still, I didn't understand why the hell do the system not record these mental stats in hundreds like the rest of the stats. Why limit it to 100 and then have me use 10 points to increase a single intelligence? Just divide the mental stats in three with 300, 350, 350 distribution and boom! It's consistent.
Whatever. The fact remains that now I only have 42 points remaining. Should I push my mental even further, or should I see what the hell spirit stat is... Spirit stat it is.
Suddenly an idea came to me. It was a simple and basic idea, but one that I hadn't considered before. The system never did anything without a reason, just like it most likely did not give those mental titles to me just to stroke my pride. No, I was beginning to understand that this thing was a more complex tool than I'd been thinking.
So instead of blatantly wasting points, I clicked around the spirit stat to see if there is a system created explanation for the stat. I couldn't find any virtual buttons so in the end, I simply focused on the stat and willed what I needed.
Spirit
The spiritual power is the raw power contained within any energy. Higher the spiritual power, greater the damage and larger the range of your magical attacks. In a skill, the levels bring control while the spirit brings power.
Maximum Potential Spirit: 750
Note: Spirit is not affected by Tiers.
I felt like berating myself for not realising this simple fact. Had I Increased my spirit, my electricity and holy spears would've been more useful against the dragon. This literally said that Tier didn't affect spirit. Though it probably meant in terms of power, cause all of my magical energies were calculated by spirit and Increased with Tier.
If my calculations were right, it was now measured by multiplying spirit with 100. At tier 1, it was 10, then tier 2 was 50, and now 100. Pretty consistent all things considered.
Though I wondered about maximum potential spirit. I checked mum's status quickly. Her spirit was 650, and her tier was minor god's tier. So 750 should mean I have atleast major god level potential, right? But this seemed to be a natural growth thing, without the system's interference.
I wanted to immediately Increase the stat but I was still hesitant. Spirit stat's growth was quite inconsistent. It could go on for months without a single change before suddenly getting a 10 boost like it did now. Will adding more affect its natural growth?
Maybe, maybe not. But you know what they say? Nothing ventured nothing gained.
So I ended up putting 32 points in spirit and the other 10 to bring intelligence up by a point again.

Nice. I also bought up the intelligence and spirit stat boxes to take a last look.
Intelligence: 11/30 (Extremely High)
Wisdom: 8/35 (Mature Mortal)
Will: 15/35 (Immortal)
Spirit
Maximum Potential Spirit: 782x
So the points do make my maximum spirit potential increase. This was broken, cause now I could actually max my raw power to surpass everyone in the world! ...well, hopefully the gods and devils also follow the rules of my system, instead of being some vague '?' Entities who I could never hope to match.
Damn, that'll suck.
I yawned suddenly, and realised how tired I felt still. I wanted to properly appreciate my skill upgrades, especially my expert Spear-wielding title, but sleep seemed a much better prospect right now.
Another yawn, and my decision was decided. I borrowed further inside my mother's arms, for the first time not caring about how much our naked skin was touching. The comfortable warmth of my mother made me ignore everything; like the fact that we were actually sleeping on a bed instead of a tent, or the fact that I could hear the horns of vehicles and no chirping and growling of wild animals, or the fact that my mother's twin melons were directly in my face. My tiredness, mixed with mother's assuring embrace and warmth, dragged me back to sleep quickly.
Everything else can wait.

"...Michael can help you.."
The words echoed in my mind as I blearily opened my eyes.
"...not a strat devil.."
The sound of conversation was coming from somewhere above me. My sleepy mind wondered if I was in an underground tunnel.
"...a mistake I...not repeat..."
That last sentence woke me up fully as I heard my mother's gentle voice gain a steely edge. Who was she talking to? A male, I was sure. Was this the guy that mother told me about? Where the hell was I anyway?
[Slept for 8 hours]–
Mind, Body, and soul at 100% functionality..
I rubbed my eyes slowly, before glancing around the room. I found myself in a... religious cavern? It was a large hollow room, like some ancient tomb or something. The room was completely dark but I had no problem in making out the sets of stairs that led to the upper floor. Or maybe I was underground and it led to the surface.
Whatever the case, I quickly sat up on the comfy bed, and realised with a start that my wings were still spread out. I curled my feathery softies around myself, reveling in their comfort. I wasn't surprised to note that they've healed up fully, and so had my back. Whatever complains I may have had about the system before it's full release, gamer's body has always served me well. 8 hours of good sleep, and even crippling injuries will heal completely.
I stretched my body, touching the floor with straight knees and all that stuff. Then, I made my way for the stairs at the left side of my bed.
