After the ceremony

After he carried me into the house, he pulled me into a secluded area, of which there were a few in this Manor house and I'm sure he knew every one of them. He turned around and wrapped his arms around my waist. "Mrs. Maxwell. I love the sound of that." Ethan breathed out as he looked into my eyes.

"I do too husband." It was barely a whisper as he lowered his smiling lips to meet mine. At first is was gentle and sweet and soon became demanding. Our bodies pressed together and our breathing heavy. I could taste our shared breath, feel our hearts pounding in rhythm together. The fireworks in my head were exploding and I could not think straight. This was dangerous and I just wanted to give in and not think but enjoy being this close to him.

"Ethan, Sera?" I heard the wedding planner call out.

We broke apart and smiled at each other, she hadn't found us but would eventually I'm sure. I was suppose to be getting my hair and makeup touched up for photos right now. Sigh, I would have loved to have just left with Ethan right after exiting the garden. Is this why people elope? It would be so much easier!

We walked out of the alcove he'd brought me to and went toward the sound of the voice calling our names.

"Oh, I'm so glad I found you. It's time for touch ups and then photos." She said. "Ethan the photographer is ready to get shots of you, the groomsmen and your family while Sera gets her touch up done please follow me."

He squeezed my hand and then I went back to the room I had gotten ready in while he followed her outside. I was hugged by two girls as soon as I walked into the room. It would have been three but Emily was in the hot seat getting her makeup and hair touched up. There was entirely too much squealing going on too. Why do women squeal when they're excited? I mean I can't say I've never squealed, but still, why?

"Congrats! You two look so amazing together." Becca said.

"You're going to make such cute babies," I looked at Shauna incredulously and she added, "Eventually."

"Babies, eh, I can't even finish my wedding day and you're talking babies?"

"Well you know, first comes love, then comes marriage then comes babies..." Shauna teased. "It's the next step"

"Oh I'm sure I won't hear the end of it from want to be grandparents until we have our first one." I mumbled, which make everyone laugh.

"Okay we're done with Emily, Sera it's your turn so you can get out there for all the couple shots. We'll send the bridesmaids out when they're all done."

I sat in the chair and got redone. It didn't take too long, and then I was finding my way outside again. It was easy to spot Ethan when I got outside. I took a minute to just admire how handsome he was in his Tuxedo. I didn't get to watch that long before I was noticed by the photographer and called over.

For the next hour it was a bunch of photos, with Ethan, with the bridesmaids, with the whole wedding party, with my Mom, with all my family, with my dad, and some with just me because they insisted I needed some bridal shots done. Then I changed my dress and got a few more shots of just me and of Ethan and I together.

After photos, we went into the lunch that was set up in the ballroom. Because of last few photos everyone was already in the conservatory so we were the last to arrive. Everyone cheered as we took our places and then lunch was served.

At the end of Lunch my father stood up and gave his speech. He welcomed everyone and said all the normal congratulations stuff. He then gave us some pretty generic marriage advice, which made me sad in a way. I mean he couldn't come up with something that would be tailored to us? But then again he probably knew Ethan more than he knew me and that would be awkward to explain to everyone. He ended with a simple to toast to us and a long and happy life. The insecure part of me wanted to know how much more personal it would have been for Charlotte. I tried to force that away and not let jealousy ruin my mood.

After he sat down Ethan stood up and started his speech, "The first thing I want to say is Wow. People say your wedding day is the best day of your life and I can say this has been. And that's because of all of you and especially you." He first motioned to the crowd and then to me. "I cannot thank you all enough for being here. And even though we'll be sending out thank you cards, I wanted to express our gratitude for your generosity in all the gifts we have received. Thank you.

"Sera I will never forget seeing you walk down the aisle today. You are beautiful in more ways than I can list right now. I love the dress you wore then, but I especially love the dress you're wearing now as I can occasionally see your sexy legs." He winked at me.

"When Sera and I were introduced at her father's house just over a month ago, we went for a walk in the garden and woods and talked. It was the most natural and flowing conversation I've had in a long time. I knew then I needed to not let her escape and I'm glad she felt the same as she's here by my side today.

"After the meal is over we'll be heading into the ballroom for some dancing, I hope you all didn't eat too much so you can join us on the dance floor.

He then thanked all the people that helped in our wedding planning, execution and the staff that were still serving. As well as to his family and mine. He then asked everyone to join in a toast to everyone sharing this day with us, our families and to me.
