TW; OVERDOSING

George:

Was she okay?, when she turned her head, she made a sound as if she was in pain. It was probably just her moving her neck wrong, or- or the seat belt scratched her. Why did I have to start crying? Am I really this much of a fuck up? Nothing even happened! She just made a painful sound...I was probably just worried. Yeah- worried. She's a really nice girl, why wouldn't I be!

Of course she wasn't tired or annoyed or wanting to get away from me at all. What on earth am I thinking. I sighed and looked out the car window until we arrived at my home. I unbuckled my seat belt, and turned to look at Aiyla.

"I'm sorry for- for acting like that earlier. I don't why that came over me it just did, and I just want to know if you're okay. You- you made a sound that sounded as if something hurt when you turned your head" I whispered softly. I looked at her, waiting for a response. I looked at her long brown hair, I never noticed it was so long. And her eyes; they were a very bright blue. I love the colour blue. She had small freckles on her face around her nose, and a few on her cheeks. Not many, but enough for her.

"It's fine George. It really is, and thank you. I just.." she paused, clearly thinking about something before speaking again. "I turned my neck to fast, that's all. Oh- and I hope your cousin loved the stuff you got her." She said with a smile.

I got out of the car, and grabbed the bags for my sister, and walked inside my house. I watched as Aiyla backed up out of the drive way, her nice shiny red car driving down the street. Until she was gone.

Third Person:

The car ride back to Aiylas wasn't long, but when she got home she felt as if she hadn't slept in two days. She was exhausted, and she didn't know why. When she got home, she opened her front door, walking into the kitchen to grab a drink. Before being stopped by her mother.

"Dr. Bradley called while you were gone." She said. The girls heart skipped a beat. Why would Dr. Bradley call?

"He wanted to know how you're doing off the medication. You know, with your pain."

"Oh uh- I've been doing fine actually. It hasn't hurt that much." The girl lied to her mother. She hated taking pills, she always got teased for it, especially by her brother. The older lady smiled and nodded, before asking another question.

"He's going to call you tomorrow. He wanted to talk to you today, but since you were out he didn't get the chance. So can you stay home tomorrow...please?" Her voice slurred as she spoke. She's drunk.

"Yeah. Of course." The mother smiled at her daughter before stumbling into the counter top. Ailya grabbed her mothers arm, worried she might hurt herself.

"Mother- you've been drinking again. Haven't you?" She already knew she was, but she needed to hear it from her.

"No. I haven't been drinking. You know damn fucking well I stopped. Now let go of me." The girl immediately let go.

"Go to your room. Im fi-fine" She slurred again. Turning around and stumbling into the living room. The girl sighed and walked into her bedroom. Forgetting about her drink.

When She got upstairs she shut her door, walking over to her bed to lay down, only to hear a loud bang from downstairs. Aiyla ran back over to her door and opened, running downstairs to her mothers aid. There was a glass of wine on the table, as well as a bottle of some random pills on the floor. Surrounding the girls mother. Aiyla froze in horror, as well as shock. But something that shocked her even more was...there was also some happiness in her emotional mix?

She shut her eyes at the scene, not knowing what to do and not wanting to look at it. A few seconds had past, until she ran and grabbed her phone, calling 911. It rang once before she heard the dispatcher on the other line.

"911, what's your emergency?" Aiyla assumed it was a girl, since we'll- she sounded like a girl. But she couldn't be sure. She thought for a second, what would she say? Her mother possibly Overdosed? Or that she passed out due to too much alcohol. Or that she was just tired. She thought, until it all came out at once;

"My- my mum- she overdosed I-I think. I don't know, I was in my room, I think she had to much alcohol. She's passed out on the floor, I don't know what exactly happened I-" she spoke fast, hoping the woman got what she was saying.

"Calm down love. There are three police officers about five minutes away as long as an ambulance. Tell me; what makes you think she overdosed?" The dispatcher asked, trying to get as much useful information as possible. Aiyla thought- the pills obviously

"There's- there's pills, all over the ground around her."

"What about the alcohol? You mentioned her possibly being drunk?"

"Yes! There's a glass of wine on the table beside where she sits, it's full and there's an empty bottle on the floor beside the table."

"Is that it?" The dispatcher asked, writing everything that Aiyla was saying down. As well as telling it to the person beside her.

"Yeah I- I think so"

"Is there any blood anywhere?" The woman asked. Aiyla panicked. Blood? I didn't even think about blood! She looked, she didn't see any.

"Not- not that I can think of." She stuttered. The dispatcher on the other line said something else, but the sound was cut off by the sound of multiple sirens pulling into the driveway.
