After Adair said that, she just continued to hug Cassandra. She was not even completely sure why Cassandra was crying right now. She could take a guess that it probably was because of something that she had thought of, but she really had no idea why she was crying.

Her crying also completely changed Adair's mindset on Cassandra. It had changed from that she thought Cassandra was a super-intelligent Artificial Intelligence that could transfer bodies to an actual being.

She was unsure why she thought Artificial Intelligence was unable to feel emotions, but the fact that Cassandra could have changed her mindset on her completely. She guessed that it had something to do with the semi-artificial intelligence that the Galactic Empire had and how they were used only to make other people's life easier, and they did not allow them to experience a life of their own.
