As a young woman Adair Fox enters the civilization test, the most difficult test in the entirety of the Galactic Empire, in hopes of achieving that highest of honors and finally becoming eligible to meet her parents. During the test Adair acts out of desperation and uses a dangerous ritual to save her people, only to get betrayed by them shortly after. Unfortunately not only does Adair fail the test, but she also finds herself trapped in a void for thousands of years until she eventually meets up with another being. She makes a deal with the Reincarnation Machine, which allows her to go back in time and become a sorceress.

<p>After Roxanne said this, she stopped speaking, which seemed to signify that she was done doing her lecture. And Adair was very happy that she had chosen the summary option since the descriptions that Roxanne gave took around a dozen hours to explain to her, and she was worried that if she chose the other option, then they would have been here for days.</p>

<p>She also had several questions about how this situation and how it specifically applied to Roxanne since while she felt that she now knew everything about anything about Gods, she was unsure how their power levels affected people that were not gods. Because if a random being could hurt a god or if the abilities of gods could not affect mortal beings, then it would change her perspective on Gods completely.</p>
