The temperature had dropped.

It wasn't late autumn, nor the beginning of winter, but the true onset of winter.

In cold weather, as long as the wind wasn't too strong, basking in the sun outside was much more comfortable than being in a chilly room.

At this moment, Paul and Ron were sitting on small stools in the yard. Last month was very busy, to the point where they sometimes wished they could squeeze in with the "guests" on the gurney for a quick nap.
