Chapter 3
[ Continued ]
Alice looked pages through pages and surprised by how her story continued without any error or the phrase of ' She swiped '. There was none. She was surprised by it.
« Is there a glitch or something? I'm here. I'm Alice. » She said as she was confused about it.
« Isabella is in my place and adapted the life of mine way faster? This is no way! » She said and took the book to the desk. She sat down on the chair and started to go through pages all over again. She found half the pages were empty... Completely empty...
« Hold on! This continued! » She said as she freaked out.
« What continued? » A boy asked her as he lended closer to her face and looked at what she was reading. She was so surprised that she jumped out of her seat and hit his chin with her shoulder.
« You crazy jerk! » She said as she was freaked out even more. He groaned on the ground as she hit his chin. It was Kyung-Jun.
« I'm your fiance! » He said as he groaned. She covered her mouth and pointed at him.
« You Prevert! How on earth am I your fiancee?! I'm not even an legal adult yet!! » She said. He stood up from the ground and walked closer.
« I'm serious. You are my fiancee. » He said.
« Who is your fiancee, you pervert?! I'm not Isabella!! » She said and acted like she was about to punch him. He chuckled.
« You got your head hit again? How many times you got your head hit? » He asked as he walked closer to her. It wasn't setting... it wasn't a scene of the novel. The page flipped sound wasn't appear.... It was out of stage...
« Woo Kyung-Jun, listen to me carefully. I'm not your fiancee. I don't love you. » She said as she grabbed his collar and pulled him closer to her. She looked at him as serious as she could. Kyung-Jun felt a bit threatened by it.
« I telling you the truth. Go and ask your parents if you wanted to make sure. » Kyung-Jun whispered and kissed her cheek.
« You creep! » She said and pushed him to the floor.
« Don't come in my direction. Don't breathe in my direction. Don't even think about dream about me being your fiancee. I don't engage to someone whose personality is lower than animal. You psycho! » She said and walked away with the novel.
Kyung-Jun chuckled then smirked.
« She must take a wrong medicine today. » He said and stood up. He went to the novel isle and came across one book that its cover was familiar with the one Alice had read. He took it out and looked at the cover.
« Dear fantasy you? » He read the title.
« I'm not into novel anyway. » He said and put the book back. He left the library afterwards.
After he left, a young fine man walked out from the hid isle and looked at Kyung-Jun as he left. He went to grab the book that Kyung-Jun just put it back and looked at the title as if he knew something going on.
« Will the author change the story? » He asked as he looked at the book and looked back to the exit.
« She held that power overall... » He continued and sighed. He went to find a seat and started to read the novel but this time... the story turned to another one.
« Isabella and Kyung-Jun? Not Alice and Woo-young? » He asked as he went through the pages. He realized.
« The story got switched. » He said.
[ After school ]
( In Isabella's home )
Alice had live up with another fantasy world of Isabella. Isabella's house... the life of Isabella at home. Isabella's parents were around often as they were too busy with their lives.
Alice entered to the house as the maid followed her from the car.
« Young miss, would you like something for dinner? » The maid asked. Alice smiled and turned to the maid.
« I can make on my own, auntie. Rest well. » She said as she took off her shoes. She put on her slippers and entered the living room.
* Page flipped *
This sound.. She got into a set again.
* Break glass *
The sound of broke glass came from Isabella's dad study room. Alice was stunned by the sound as it was her first time heard it. She rushed upstairs to see if something happens.
« Dad! » She called him as she entered the room. She shocked.
« Mom... » She called her mom who laid on the floor with towel covered herself and her dad who was...full of madness...
« You! You! I build an empire just for you to burn down my money for your thirst of sexual pleasure?! » Her dad asked her mom who was looking another side as she didn't dare to face her dad. Her dad saw her as she was stood there with tears rolling down her face.
« Isabella... » He called her name.
« Disgusting. » She said and looked at her dad.
« You both are disgusting!! » She said and rushed out to her room. Her dad followed her. She banged her door for him and locked the door. Her dad kept knocking.
« Isabella! Listen to dad! Listen to me first! » Her dad begged. Alice kneeled down on her knees on her floor as she too stunned to speak. She couldn't imagine as what if her parents cheated on each other for real. What she had been fear about suddenly became her another reality.
« Isabella! Princess! Listen to mom! Listen to mom first! My princess! » Her mom begged as she was also knocking at the door.
« You had no right to call her your daughter! She is mine and only! » Her dad said. They had another fight in front of her door.
« You don't give birth to her! I am! » Her mom argues back. Alice continued to stob and took out her phone. She went through her contact list and came across Kyung-Jun.
« Kyung-Jun... » She mumbled. She pressed call.
* Ring × 2 *
* Sobbing *
* Dong *
« Isabella.. » He called her name.
« ... » She didn't respond. The fight was getting more intend.
« I will be there. » He said and ended the call. She dropped her phone on the floor and hugged her legs crying herself out of the situation. The fight kept going on and on as her parents trying to get the custody on her all by themselves. They were arguing about divorce and who is going to take custody on her. She wasn't a child anymore but yet, a minor who hasn't yet graduate from highschool.
[ Few moments later ]
* Knock *
Someone threw a rock on her window. Alice was still crawling herself up as the fight still going on. She lifted her face and looked at the window.
* Knock *
Another rock threw to her window. She stood up and went to window as she wiped off her tears off her face. She looked through the window and saw Kyung-Jun stood in front of his car.
She couldn't go outside by her front door as her parents were still arguing. She decided to give him a talk by sign language.
« Come to my balcony. » She signed and went to her balcony.
Kyung-Jun knew right away as he took sign language class before highschool. He went in front of her balcony. Since she lived in the first floor, the balcony of hers wasn't too high to kill her if she jumped out.
She walked to her balcony and turned to her front door. The argument still going on. She turned back to Kyung-Jun to opened his arms to grab her when she jump off.
" Is the author seriously write for me to jump of a 20 feet tall balcony to the ground with a creep boy going to grab me? What if we both end up in the hospital? " She thought but her character still put on a sad face. She grabbed her balcony railing tight and closed her eyes. She jumped out of the balcony and fell on top of Kyung-Jun as he grabbed her on time.
« Hey. Fell princess. » He said to her as he held her on his arms. She opened her eyes and looked at him in stunned.
" Is this jerk seriously not dead by the weight of me? " She thought.
" It's fantasy world. " She thought.
« Let's get out of here. » She said mumbling. He chuckled and took her to his car. He fasted a seat belt on her and looked at her as she was still sobbing.
« Crying baby. » He said and pat her head. He chuckled and went to his driver's seat.
" After this scene done, I'm going to murder this jerk for sure. " She thought. They drove off to somewhere that she, herself didn't know where.
[ Few moments later ]
( At Ilsan Lake Park, Incheon )
He took her to a lake to refresh her mind. They walked on the bridge together late at night as a couple but Alice walked in front of him.
Kyung-Jun followed her silently as he knew she needed sometimes alone after her parents' huge fight. Kyung-Jun watched her walking slowly all by herself while looking at her feet. She didn't look up at the sky at all.
« Kyung-Jun... » She called him as she stopped. He stopped too. They were 5 steps apart. She turned to him and wiped off her tears.
« Thank you... » She said to him as she looked up to him. He smiled and went to hug her.
« It's okay. I understand. » He whispered to her ears. She continued to sobbing on his shoulder. She hugged him back.
" Digging my own grave is more than enough. " She thought.
* Page flipped *
They finally out of the scene. Alice got out of the stage. They both were. Kyung-Jun was still hugging her. She pushed him away.
« Disgusting! » She said and brushing off herself with her hands. Kyung-Jun was dumbfounded by her action because she was a kitty cat back then and now, a fox or lion? Her mood changed so fast that he couldn't catch well.
« I thought you are upsetting about your parents' fight. » He said as he stood up from the ground and brush off dust from his butt. She bit her lips and hands on her hips.
« You think I haven't see them fight before? Isn't it normal for couples to fight over stupid things? And you! How the fuck that you're not dead or injury by now? You grabbed me from 20 feet tall balcony?! » She asked him. His mind was still in a process.
« That was 20 feet? » He asked back. She flopped her lips in disbelieve.
« You didn't have eyes to calculate the height before you grab me? Dumb. » She said and walked to the railing.
« I thought you heard your parents fight for the first time this huge. » Kyung-Jun said as he walked to stood near her. She sighed as she knew he might be forgot soon as they weren't on stage.
« I knew everything from the start. My mom had been cheating on my dad for 2 years and my dad also. They cheated on each other and acted like the perfect parents forward me. I mean they are but... they didn't love each other anymore. I cried because that stupid author told me to! Write a better script!! » She replied and shouted to the sky at the last line. Kyung-Jun didn't understand what did she said but still trying to.
« Isabella... » He called her. She turned to him.
« I'm not Isabella. » She replied.
« But you are. » He said. She rolled her eyes.
« Isabella is living my life in another world and I'm living her life in this fuck up world. I'm Alice! » She replied. He looked at her up and down and laughed.
« You? Alice? You are looking at someone name Karen right now. Not ' Isabella ' ~ » He teased her. She got pissed and pinched his ear. He groaned in pain.
« You stupid jerk. » She mumbled.
« I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Let my ear go! They are precious. » He begged.
« Called me a Karen and asked for forgiveness? I'm going to find some weapon. » She said and started to look around. He got surprised by it.
« I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I don't mean it! » Kyung-Jun said. She let him go and pushed him on the bridge.
« One more nonsense coming out your mouth. I will murder you for real! » She said as she pointing at him.
« Okay, ma'am. » Kyung-Jun replied and stood up. She took a deep breath than turned to the railing.
« It's been a day already. I should be in my reality by now. I'm not shifting this long. » She complained. Kyung-Jun was seriously had no clue what was she talking about.
« Weird to ask but your reality? » He asked. She sighed and turned to him as he stood at another side of the bridge.
« You won't remember it anyway. It's not stage. » She said.
« Just forget it! » She continued and walked away.
« Where are you going!? » Kyung-Jun shouted and followed her.
[ 3 days later ]
( At school )
The novel still continued on as she was still in fantasy world. She was desperately wanted to leave this fantasy world and go back to where she came from. She missed her mom's seaweed soup and her dad's signature fried chicken. She missed her friends there and her...life...
She was walking through the library with the novel in her arm that was about her story, no... Isabella's story with Kyung-Jun. Alice came acrosssed the place that she first found the book. She went to put it back when...
« Hi. Alice Francesca. » A boy said to her. It was her first time someone called her in the name of hers not Isabella. She turned to the boy. He stood there 10 steps away from her with a book in his arm and waved his hand for her. She was confused as she never know him before...nor his character was introduced in novel...
