Chapter 123: Chakra induction test paper (part 3)

-…Futon Toppa…T-that's Orochimaru's jutsu.

Homura panicked slightly at the technique name's on the paper, he was able to recognize the technique since he had a list of people that he considered as threats and Orochimaru was very high up on that list.

Originally he thought it was just another wind technique that forces the user to expel wind chakra from their mouth.

There were plenty of those.

So, what were the chances that he had stumbled into a scroll detaining this peculiar technique?

Quite high though.

Wind-style techniques were more recurrent in the land of wind, more specifically in Sunagakure.

Konohagakure had likely far fewer wind-style techniques in their arsenal.

Just as Sunagakure had likely far fewer fire-style techniques in their arsenal as well.

So it wasn't unbelievable that Homura learned such a technique but he could catch a bit too much attention for his taste.

Since this was the wrong way he wanted to attract attention.

So he immediately started to scroll down the scroll to see if there was another better technique that wouldn't attract more attention.

- Futon…Dai toppa…Tch!

What he got was much worse.

Not only it was the upgraded version of the jutsu he wanted to avoid but it was definitely the version of Orochimaru used.

Homura hadn't really seen the contents written in this section, but they were much shorter which meant it was basically the same technique but on a larger scale.

Just as how the shadow clone jutsu and the multi shadow clone jutsu were essentially the same technique except that one drew more chakra from their user.

Thus causing more destruction and demanding more chakra to be used and by the same effect increasing the technique's rank.

From B-rank to A-rank.

-…No time to think about that there has to be something else…something else.

Homura scrolled down to see if there was something else and was surprised by the techniques held inside.

- Gale palm? No. (That's Nagoto's technique.)

Homura knew that it belonged to the quote-on-quote leader of the Akatsuki, but that was far from what he feared from such a low-level technique.

That would be insane.

However, techniques that require chakra to be used on a specific body part instead of used throughout one's body usually needed a certain amount of chakra control or a lot of chakra to be compressed in a single location which was not Homura's forte.

Chakra techniques that are applied throughout one's whole body or come from inside one's body usually were easier for one to learn.

Thus explaining why the clone jutsu or the transformation jutsu was taught at the academy throughout one's entire duration.

They were by no means easy to perform, thus requiring students to learn them throughout their entire duration at the academy to master.

Since one thing is performing a specific jutsu and another one is mastering it.

Anyone can botch a transformation jutsu, but not everyone is able to perform it perfectly on command, even experience shinobi have a hard time imitating the behavior of who or what they transform themselves into.

- Futon… ressenpu?…it's another wind release jutsu that comes from the user's mouth, it could be useful but it doesn't seem that deadly…I need something more deadly like one of Danzo's wind-style jutsu,

Feeling frustrated Homura began to scroll down at a faster rate until he realized that he came to the end of it.

-Tch! Wind release… air bullets…Darn!

The jutsu that was written on the scroll was a jutsu that allowed the user to make bullets compiled with wind chakra from their mouths.

It seemed to overall be a non-deadly technique, or at least a technique that did not slice their opponent apart in one swift move; which was what Homura was looking forward to.

-…But it is overall not a bad find…I have 4…well 3…2 different jutsus to choose from.

What Homura said was partially correct the variety of 3 from those jutsus was basically non-existent.

The futon toppa and Dai toppa were ultimately the same jutsu, just the area of impact was wider and more chakra was needed in order to be consumed.

So it was overall just one jutsu with a slightly more powerful variant.

And the Ressenpu was overall the same but more focused on a single area which allowed for more concentrated damage.

Even the hand seals were fairly similar except for 2 hand seals used.

The only one that didn't fit the mold was the futon air bullets…while the gale palm was outright currently beyond anything he believed that he could achieve.

-…so at the end of the day…the futon toppa is my only real choice.

The air bullets involved shape transformation on top of nature transformation.

He'd have first to familiarize himself with nature transformation and then move to shape transformation.

It wasn't that hard, he was able to make a small fire while trying to use the fireball jutsu, the key came to getting familiarized with the nature transformation itself.

And from the results of Homura's chakra induction paper test, he had already an affinity for wind release, the problem would come from his chakra reserves and how in tune Homura was with wind release overall.

He could have an affinity for wind release as much as he wants, but if he's unable to perform that type of ninjutsu for whatever reason, then he might as well not have that chakra nature as his affinity.

-Hm…I need to find a better spot to train with as little wind as possible…or concentrated in a single area…such as inside a house…or a cave…. Now that I think about it… this is sort of a cave.- Said Homura as he looked inside the dark room he was inside.

Homura realized that technically he was inside a house or more or less a cave, but the bunker wasn't tested to handle anything that crazy as a ninjutsu.

In fact, the main room and door were designed to collapse and set the room he was in on fire.

So overall, it was a bad idea.

And making a new bunker was out of the question, he lacked the money, and creating another one would demand to look for a new area altogether.

- But it is true that this place is too crowded…and training outside would be easier to get me exposed, I got it, the tunnel near the Uchiha clan.

Homura had found a tunnel that Takao used to get out of the Uchiha clan.

He didn't know who made it, but it was more likely children or something similar.

It was too small for a grown man to go through.

This meant that perhaps similar locations such as caves or another similar places may exist.

Since it was abandoned now, was the best time for him to try to look for a spot for himself.
