Chapter 151: First crush?

The next day, still reeling from the shock of witnessing the overwhelming presence of the Nine-Tails chakra within Naruto, Homura found himself at the entrance of the clinic. His steps had been guided by an inexplicable need to seek solace in the routine of the medical facility. He expected to meet the doctor and have his injured and now trembling hand checked, an external manifestation of the turmoil inside him. However, to his surprise, it was the nurse on duty who greeted him warmly.

After tending to the superficial injury on his hand, the nurse, a gentle and caring woman with kind eyes, turned her attention to Homura. "So, how did this happen?" she asked, her voice soft and understanding.

Her beautiful and youthful was evidently worried, that look reminded Homura of the sister at the orphanage who mainly took care of him.

He always wondered that if he had met his biological mother, she too would have made this kind of face if she were to see him injured, but he quickly brushed away such stupid thoughts.

Homura was never good at talking to women, especially the ones who had strong personalities, he felt that he always said the wrong thing.

And then they would get mad at him.

Homura, who had been grappling with the tumultuous thoughts swirling within him, found himself at a loss for words. How could he explain the encounter with the Nine-Tails chakra, something beyond comprehension? He simply stared down at his bandaged hand, unable to articulate his emotions or the events of what transpired.

The nurse, sensing the distress in Homura's silence, surprised him with a tender gesture. Leaning in, she pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead, an act of compassion that left Homura utterly stunned. No one had ever shown him such kindness before, at least as far as he could recall, and he found himself gazing at her in a mixture of surprise and gratitude.

With a playful wink, the nurse broke the silence. "Consider it a good luck charm," she said softly, her eyes holding a warmth that melted away Homura's inner turmoil. "But do take better care of yourself, okay?"

Homura could only watch as the nurse gracefully exited the room. The click of the closing door snapped him out of his daze, and suddenly, he was overcome with a blush that seemed to spread from his cheeks to the very tips of his ears. His thoughts swirled like a whirlwind, and he struggled to make sense of the encounter that had just unfolded. It was a moment that would stay etched in his memory, a flicker of solace and connection amidst the chaos of his ninja life.

Homura, now alone in the small examination room, sat on the edge of the sterile medical bed. His thoughts were a whirlwind of confusion and curiosity. He couldn't shake the image of the nurse's kind eyes and the gentle touch of her lips on his forehead. It was a simple gesture, but it had sent his mind into overdrive.

He leaned back, resting his head against the cool, white wall. The room was quiet, save for the faint hum of the clinic's fluorescent lights. Homura's mind replayed the moment like a broken record.

Homura (whispering to himself): W-what was that? N-No... Why did she do that? What did she mean by a good luck charm?

He absentmindedly touched his fingertips to the spot on his forehead where her lips had made contact, as if trying to capture the sensation. It was a moment of intimacy he hadn't experienced before, and it left him with a sense of longing and curiosity.

Homura (contemplating): Is this what kindness feels like? I've always been so focused on training and becoming stronger, but this... this is different. It's like a warmth spreading through me.(Shotacon?)

Homura did share memories of his previous life but anything concerning the fairer gender was not something he cared about, most girls or women in the past to call him cute or adorable so he more or less avoided them and wished to be seen as cool or strong...so none of what happened was something he was ready for.

Nonetheless, he was a young boy who could  help spiralling out of control as soon as he as shown affection by a beautiful older woman.

Homura (contemplating): No, what am I thinking... I have to think straight again!

His thoughts drifted to the events of the previous day when he had felt the immense chakra of the Nine-Tails within Naruto. It was a power beyond anything he had encountered, and it had stirred something within him—an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and strength.

Homura (whispering): The Nine-Tails' chakra... Naruto's potential... and now this unexpected kindness. I don't know what's going on anymore.

Homura wasn't even a sensor ninja but he could tell how terrible and powerful the nine tails chakra was.

He could never catch up to such a monster, so he had no idea where to begin to face such a powerful monstrosity in the future, even fighting a Naruto that was able to control such power.

The gap between him and Naruto would surely just increase with time.

And now the nurse that he never thought too much about that Homura never even bothered to truly care about had shown him affection.

It had not happened in a long time, that someone else besides the usual bunch that he knew of... that would show him some kind of affection.

This wasn't the same as a teacher at the academy would to a student, but something else.

Homura may have the memories of his previous life but overall, he was simply a child that had been shown very little affection besides the people at the orphanage.

And now that he had left the orphanage, several years had already passed.  for a few years

Lost in thought, he didn't notice the passage of time as he contemplated the nurse's actions and the mysteries that seemed to surround him. It was a moment of introspection and discovery, and Homura was eager to explore where this newfound path might lead him.
