Chapter Nineteen: Freya's Point Of View.

I found myself in Luca's room. Of course he had an over sized crib. I shake my head. Why would a child his size need an over sized crib? He was so small. I lay him down gently. The door to his room opens. I quickly turn and Rose steps in side and offers me a kind smile. I smile back at her and cover Luca up.

I step over to her and she seems confused for a moment. Why would she be confused?

"Rose have you seen the pendent that I gave to Luca?" She tenses for a moment and then looks away from me before sighing. So she did know where it was.

"It's alright you can tell me." She glances over at Luca and back to me.

"The little prince's aunt took it. His Mother's sister. He was devastated. I've had to keep him distracted. Or he crys about it." I nod. So Amelia's sister took it.

"What's her name? I'll speak to her and have her return it to me." Rose face falls even more.

"I do not want to cause any problems." I let out a clipped sigh.

"Rose...her name please." Rose sighs and runs her fingers through her hair.

"Aria and she's in the garden having tea with Astor's Mother." I nod and turn on my heels exiting the room. I jump when Gemini and Jade appear before me. Gemini smirks and Jade frowns a little.

"Follow me. I don't want to have to kill a she-wolf because she thinks she holds power here." Gemini's eyes darken as her smirk widens. Jade nods and allows to walk passed her.

I groan. It had taken me some time to find the garden. I should have asked Rose where the hell it was so I wasn't wondering around aimlessly like an idiot.

I found myself at the center of the garden. A woman sat there. Astor was almost the mirror image of her except his eyes were darker than hers and then on the other side sat a long haired brunette. With skin tight clothing against her hourglass figure and way to much make up. Her skin was a sun kissed tan. Her eyelashes were obviously fake. Her eyes are a deep chocolate brown color.

Goddess forgive me for ruining my first expression on Astor's Mother.

"Excuse me Aria?" The girl looks up and looks me over seeming to be unimpressed by me. She smiles easily.

"Yes? Can I help you." I step closer to the two.

"You will return my pendent to Luca. It is not request. It is an order. If it is not returned by tomorrow then-" She snorts.

"I'm sorry. Just who do you think YOU are?" I smirk.

"I am YOUR Luna. You will show me respect. You will obey. And you will return what you took." She stands up then. Anger written all over her fake face.

"The Luna? Respect? My sister Amelia will always be the Luna! YOU show some respect! You gave a gift to another woman's child. Laying claim on him when he isn't yours!" I snarl and step forward.

"So it was you that took it." Astor's voice draws me attention as he strolls up beside me. I glance up at him.

"Alpha." I watch as Aria's body physically relax and she plasters on a smile. I wanted to gag. She had the hots for Astor. That much was obvious.

"Freya is Your Luna. You will return the pendent that she given Luca. No one is disrespecting Amelia in any way. It was a gift given. You have no right to pick and choose what Luca gets to keep. He is MY son." Hurt crosses Aria's features and she glances at me.

"Yes. Alpha." I couldn't help but frown. Aria moves away and gives the other woman a quick hug and walks away. The woman looks at us and smiles.

I arch an eyebrow and look up at Astor. He gives me an innocent smile. As if he didn't do anything wrong. I shake my head.

"I didn't need your help. I can handle myself just fine." Astor looks confused.

"I've upset you?" I snort and roll my eyes.

"I'm not upset. But if I am Luna then I should deal with things on my own and not have you intervene and use your alpha tone. They have to learn to trust me or hate me on their own." Astor's eyes flicker to his mother and she giggles.

"Your mate is not wrong. She is not a weak woman in need of your protecting. She's a fighter." Stunned I turn my attention to the woman. She was walking toward us now. She smiles brightly at me.

"Hello Luna. I'm Lily. Astor's Mother." I give her an awkward smile. I didn't know what to say to her exactly. She was the previous Luna and My mate's Mother.

"Well that's out of the way. How about we go and grab some dinner?" I wasn't hungry but I didn't think with these two they were simply going to let me say no thank you. They'd probably both force feed me.

Lily links her arm through mine and walks passed Astor who rolls his eyes at his mother.

" I knew your Mother Diana." My heart stopped for a fraction of a second. What? Lily chuckles.

"Her dragon. Nigeria she pushed through a few times and she was like a mirror image of your mother except angrier." I couldn't help but smile. Mother never brought up her dragon to me. Probably because of what my father did. My heart hurt for a moment remembering the journal entry that shattered the image that I had of my father.

"Mom." I heard the warning in Astor's tone.

'It's alright. I want to hear this.' I spoke softly to Astor through our mind link.

'I don't want you to hurt. I can feel it. It's devastating.' He shot the thought back at me. I sigh and shake my head. Lily giggles.

"My son is quite over protective. I am sorry about that." I let out a laugh. It wasn't that I minded his being overprotective. It was a good quality that he had. But I needed to stand on my own two feet and be a leader as well as he is. I needed to be able to earn these people's respect and not have Astor come to my rescue everytime he thought I needed him to.

An ear piercing scream draws my attention and I shake Lily's arm off of me and take off toward the sound. Shade pushes forward as a new smell engulfs my nostrils...blood.

'Mistress!' I push myself harder and I see a body in Damien's arms. My body goes rigid as I notice The Combat gear....the pale skin underneath the dried blood and bruised body...her unnaturally colored hair...was caked with a crimson color. Shade Roars loudly in my head causing me to cover my ears. My stomache dropped and my body ran cold.

Damien looked almost sad...He slowly approached me and the smell of blood over powered me. But that's when I saw the gapping hole in her chest...I inhale a deep breath to keep the bile down.

Someone ripped her heart from her chest.

"Luna...I'm so sorry." Tears burned my vision as I lift my eyes to meet his.

"What happened?!" My voice was low but I knew that Damien heard me.

"A few warriors who were patrolling saw soldiers from your kingdom..they dumped her body at the borders." My knees felt weak. My brother's soliders?! Why would he harm Selene?! She was a loyal solider..she would never do anything to hurt her kingdom or its ruler...this didn't make any sense...
