Chapter Fourty-Two:

****ASTOR'S POUNT OF VIEW****

Freya was still sleeping. The nurses had changed her and cleaned her nose and face of the blood. I watch as her chest rises and falls.

'Why would the goddess summon her?' Aro's voice held his worry for out mate.

'I don't know Aro. I pray that she is going to be alright though. I need her to be alright.' I glance up at her face and my mouth drops open and shock fills me as I watch strand of hair turn white.

Her hair was a mix of her vibrant crimson red and white now. WHAT IN GODDESS NAME?!

'Why did that just happen?! How's her breathing?!' Aro's voice was frantic. I look back down at her chest and it was still slowly rising and falling.

A soft moan comes from her as her head moves alittle. I shoot up from my chair and take her face in my hands. She slowly peels her eyes open. He gray eyes foggy for a moment before they focus on me. She smiles sleepily at me.

"Hey."

I huff a laugh and smile at her.

"You are going to give me a heart attack one day love." She laughs and leans into my touch. It shocked me for a moment before I lean down and kiss her forehead. I let go of her face and sit down on the edge of the hospital bed.

"What did the goddess want?" Freya's eyebrows draw together in confusion.

"Goddess?" She doesn't remember it? Was that a good thing or a bad thing?

"You don't remember anything?" She shakes her head and looks so confused. I let outna heavy sigh. I was just glad that she was alright.

"Doc wants to keep you over night. And I have a couple of things that I need to take care of. Will you be alright or do you want me to stay with you?" Freya smiles gently at me and shakes her head.

"I'll be alright. Go do whatever you have to do." She was so understanding that it hurt sometimes. I wanted her to be clingy alittle. But she never was.

"Okay get some rest." I lean into kiss her forehead again when she wraps her arms around my neck and pulls my mouth down on hers. Causing me to moan alittle.

She giggles against my mouth. I couldn't help but smile. Her laugh..It was all I needed to know that she was okay.

***FREYA'S POINT OF VIEW****

I watch Astor leave the room and let out a long sigh. I didn't mean to lie to him. I did remember everything. I wasn't ready to tell him that the goddess had restored my ability to have to children. I had come to terms with not having anymore and now I could have them again...It was frustrating. The woman had to give it back to me when war was coming. That made no sense at all. Why do that to me.

The door to the hospital room opens and Raph steps inside. I just stare at him as he approaches the bed. He was checking me over to make sure I wasn't hurt. I roll my eyes. These guys around here were seriously over protective and it was getting on my nerves.

"Astor told me you were awake. How are you feeling now?" I smirk. He actually sounded concerned.

"I'm fine. Just tired. Which I guess is normal. So why are you here?" Raph chuckles and shakes his head. He surprises me by laying his hand over mine.

"I was worried about you." My heart accelerates and my stomache drops. Flames ignite around me as Raph's hand shoots up around my throat. This wasn't Raph.

"Smart girl. I'm not your friend. And I'm not here to kill you. But you will listen." I glare at this person wearing Raph's face. Shade pushes to the surface and the guy just chuckles.

"They have the blood they need to start the ritual. So if you wanna protect these people I suggest moving them tomorrow. During the day. The Demons sleep then. You don't have alot of time princess. The war is coming to you. Do you honestly think that Falak will allow you or your mate to live knowing you can put him back in his prison?" I inhale a deep breath as the man let's go of my throat.

"Why help us? You're with them. Don't you want the same thing?!" The man scoffs and rolls his eyes.

"You aren't that niave. I'm on no one's side. I do what I have to to survive. You should treat doing the same."

The man shrugs as he stares at me and turns to leave the room.

"If you plan to survive then I would run and hide. Because in the end you will have to choose a side." The man chuckles as he leaves the room.

I reach up and touch my throat lightly. Hendidnt hurt me. He didn't even squeeze when he had me by the throat. But why use a glamor spell?

How did they have the blood that they needed? I know that they didn't get it from me. They couldn't have gotten it from Luca or Astor. None of this was making any sense. If they didn't get it from us how did they get it in the first place? I knew if I told Astor about this he was going to lose his mind and see it as if someone was trying to threaten me.

It wasn't a threat though. It was a warning of what was about was happen. I wanted to puke. Some much was happening all at once again. I needed to get out of here and warn atleast Raph that some rando was walking around wearing his face and I desperately needed to talk to Silias.

I throw the blankets off the bed and frown down at the frilly long sleeved night gown. Who in the hell picked this out?! It came all the way down to my feet! This was unreasonable!

I rush from the Pack hospital my bare feet hitting the ground with loud tapping noises as I was half running toward The castle. My body was sore from the training session still but I had to ignore It.

I ran straight to our room. He wasn't there. I checked the offices and he wasn't there either. I let out a half growl half scream and turn my heels heading toward the Throne room. It seemed late and I have no idea why they would be there this late.

There were two guards outside the doors. which was odd. Why were there guards now. They nod at me and open the doors. I was right. Astor was here. So was Damien, Silias, Raph, Lily and even Arden And Astra. I did notice her holding Nigeria. I felt myself smile at they sweet baby.

"FREY?! What the hell happened to your hair?" I turn toward Raph's voice. Then tug on my hair to look at it. My heart skips a beat as streaks of white catch my attention. WHAT THE NIGHT?! WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?!

"Freya what are you doing here?" I lift my eyes to meet Astor's.

"Someone wearing Raph's face came to see me after you left. He said that they had the blood they needed to release Falak. We don't have much time. We have to move everyone now!" A round of growls surprise me.

" Did he hurt you?!" I raise an eyebrow at Raph.

"Obviously not. He wasn't interested in that. He was warning us." Astor growls and slams his fist down on a table that I hadn't noticed until now. I inhale a deep steady breath. This was a War council meeting that's why there were guards at the doors.

"I'll make sure a portal is open in the early morning. And then we will start in town. Then the castle." My attention is drawn to Silias who looked worried. I reach down and touch the Mage Crystal.

We were gonna need all the help we could get.
