10. A date with Huaban
Author's note: I was sweating my butt off thinking no one will give a vote on the vote poll i did. Luckily someone did
On another note the reason for my sudden disappearance/inactivity in the fan fics i was supposed to write while putting this story on hiatus is because of life's unexpected surprises, and because i got a writer's block over a fan fic (i don't know how it happened either) which was annoying considering the fan fic was half way done
Even now my schedule is still tight and it made me change the schedule upload from wednesday to sunday (gmt 8 or was it utc?)

As Xiu Ying looked at the clouds above, a certain memory resurfaced in it, reminding her of a certain day
A day that she can still vividly remember
[(Flash back)]
Xiu Ying just left the inn as she reached the village street where a couple of the village kids and Hua surrounded her
"Big sis! Big sis! play with us!" A kid said while jumping up and down
"Big sis! Big sis! My brother wanted me to give this to you!" Another kid said while showing a beautiful flower
"Big sis! Big sis! You look pretty!" A village kid complimented
"Big sis!" "Big sis!" "Big sis!" "Big sis!"
As the village children swarmed her with requests, questions, and compliments Hua decided to intervene
"Everyone stop!" Hua shouted
The village kids surprisingly stopped as they looked at her
"Big sis Xiu Ying will obviously play with her favorite little sis, me!" Hua said smugly with pride surrounding her
This of course got mixed reactions as each of them gave a reason why Xiu Ying likes them more
As Xiu Ying tried to defuse the matter, Huaban walked towards them while giving Xiu Ying a beautiful smile
Xiu Ying felt the world stop and only saw Huaban walking towards her, this of course got broken after Huaban playfully poked her in the nose
Xiu Ying gave an embarrassed smile as she felt her face heat up and butterflies appear on her stomach
"A-ah ehem! Yes Huaban weren't we supposed to go somewhere" Xiu Ying said trying to redirect Huaban's attention from earlier as to not get teased
Huaban just gave her a smile and started pulling her away from the kids and towards the flower fields
The village kids then continued playing after they realized Xiu Ying wasn't joining them
"*sigh* Those kids are something aren't they?" Huaban replied to her with a nod
"I mean seriously, they're cute and all but it would be nice if their parents actually took care of them, like don't they fear that i'm secretly a kidnapper or something?"
Huaban just gave a smile and gave her a pat on the head as if she said 'There, there, don't be angry now'
Xiu Ying continued to pout as Huaban pat her in the head, this continued on until they reached the flower fields where Xiu Ying stopped walking
"This is the place right?" Xiu Ying asked Huaban
To Xiu Ying's question Huaban just gave her a smile and continued walking. Xiu Ying made a confused look and walked in front of her while looking at her face
"Huh? We're not eating here?" Xiu Ying asked as she walked backwards
Huaban just gave her a no head motion and continued walking
Despite being confused Xiu Ying just decided to stop asking questions and just continue to follow Huaban
This went on for a few minutes until they reached a beautiful creek
"Woah! This place is beautiful!" Xiu Ying said with shining eyes
Xiu Ying has never went camping as she had watched too many shows, documentaries, and movies where the character gets in to trouble after going to remote and dangerous areas. This resulted with her being only able to see the sceneries on screen
'Those guys in the internet who pictures and shares the beautiful sceneries like this may found this place boring but for a person like me who barely goes out and see nature, this place is majestic!' Xiu Ying said inside her mind as she waits for Huaban to place the picnic basket at a nearby boulder
'Huh, i wonder what it'll feel like if i layed on the ground like those wallpaper happy people' Xiu Ying randomly thought
This thought turned into action as she sat and made herself comfortable before laying on the ground
'This feels absolutely uncomfortable' Xiu Ying thought as she tried to get up only for Huaban to crouch in front of her
Xiu Ying gave her a confused look until Huaban started tickling her
"Hahahaha! Huaban *wheeze* stop!" Xiu Ying's shout went into deaf ears as Huaban continued tickling her
They're playful behavior caused them to not notice Hui who was slowly coming out of a bush
Hua pulled out a knife as he rushed towards them. They noticed Hui too late as both of them didn't have enough time to dodge
Time slowed into a stand still as Xiu Ying looked at Hui who's charging towards Huaban. Too shocked to move both of them didn't have enough time as Hui aimed to kill Huaban

Xiu Ying: Hey Birdie
Birdie: *sigh* Yeah
Xiu Ying: I just realized it, but why didn't the village elder get affected when i was near him?
Birdie: ...
Xiu Ying: Why are you looking at me like that?
Birdie: ...
Xiu Ying: I swear it's not because of what you think it is!
Birdie: *sigh* Your a hope less one, i can't wait for the character development or my time here with you to be over so i won't have to deal with you being dumb
Xiu Ying: Just tell me already!
Birdie: *sigh* It's because he have poor eyesight
Xiu Ying: Poor...eyesight?
Birdie: Yup can't be seduced when you can barely see for bird poop
Xiu Ying: Bird- Actually what's with the different words for cussing. Like what's with them, they don't even make sense at all
Birdie: Don't question it, just get to the next chapter!
Xiu Ying: What next chapter?! Your not making any sense!?
