Planning the Day

The next day, I heard Gretal moving around the common area by six. I groaned and turned over to gaze at the clock. Seeing the time, I groaned louder. I was used to getting up earlier, but I wanted to sleep in so bad. I wanted to relish the comfortable bed. It was not to be. But I was determined to enjoy a soak in the tub. Crawling out of bed, I checked my phone for any urgent texts. It was a habit I had for many years. You never knew when disaster would strike with family or friends. I always liked to keep an eye on things in case I had to react.

The tub was wonderful as the jets pounded on my back. I let it ease away all the tension. Mentally, I noted that I would get a massage as soon as the opportunity presented itself. I was going to redo my body as well as my mind and spirit.
