Where they were now as just as dark until Jardan tossed the light in his hand up in the air. The ball of light exploded above them. Around them more lights ignited. Callie looked around and found herself in a small chamber. The new lights were held in sconces along the wall. As she looked down the only passage that led from where they stood, similar lights appeared.

“Made it without an incident.”

Callie turned to see Jardan speaking into his phone. His father replied, “Good. We’ll talk tomorrow. Get some rest.”

Jardan put his phone back in his jean’s pocket and turned to Callie. “How tired are you?”

“Tired, very. Sleepy? Hardly.”

Giving her a smile, he inclined his head toward the passageway. “Come on. I have a cure for that.”

The passage was all done in marble stone. Callie noticed other opening leading off but no lights were in them. Following Jardan, she found herself in a large, breathtaking room.
