Chapter 6

Chapter 6

She just let Iries follow her. Wherever she went Iries was also there. "Iries," she called as she continued to walk slowly.

"Why?"

"Don't you get tired of sniffing me, always?"

She laughed. "I'm just telling you, Pershey. You're forgetting who you are and what you really are. You're getting obsessed in him," she said. She took a book first and opened it. She continued to walk slowly as Iries followed her.

"I can't forget who I am and what I really am, Iries. For your knowledge, I am Akishara Shane Pershey Santiago Adejar," Iries was silent. She just let Iries not answer. A few minutes later, she answered.

"Akishara Shane Pershey Santiago Adejar?"

"Did you hear that?"

"You're just using Pershey Adejar."

"Iries, can you walk out of this room?"

"No, Pershey. I'm gonna remind you everything."

"Don't full me, Iries. I don't want to have more talks with you."

"Do you want me to remind you about your name?"

"Get out, Iries."

She didn't want to hit Iries so she preferred to let her go. She knew Iries wouldn't stop her. "This room is mine, Iries, walk out now," she ordered.

"Do you remember those times? Do you remember how you destroyed this university before?"

She held back even when she was full. "Just go out, Iries," she commanded again.

"You're the reason why this university has changed, Pershey. You're a student here before carrying your name 'Akishara Shane Pershey Santiago Adejar. Do you remember now? Maybe you still want me to remind you of everything. ? "

She turned around and stared Iries in the eye. "Don't let me remind you too, Iries. You seem to have forgotten your sin that I covered up before. Do you want a reminder?" She did not blink. Iries blinked a few times. "Remember? You're cheating-"

"Stop! Such a nerd!"

She sarcastically smiled and turned back her gaze on the books. "See? You lost your own game, Iries. You can now get out of this room."

"I won't. I will tell this to Aunt Shirane."

"Go, tell my mom that I donated a thousands of books and 100k to this University. Go ahead, Iries, tell her."

"I'm sure Aunt Sherina is unaware of what you're doing, Pershey. How many books you donated AGAIN?"

She turned her gaze on the books. "Mom won't get mad in me, Iries," she answered. "And you don't care about myself, Iries. If you don't have anything good to say, just leave. I don't need you," she added without even looking at Iries.

"You're just wasting money, Pershey. Students and teachers can buy their own books. We can buy our own books."

"Get out now, Iries," she said calmly. Iries barely laughed and went in front of her. She snatched the book she was reading. She just let it go. "Get out, Iries," she commanded then smiled.

Iries stared at her and came even closer to her. She is only about the same height so their eyes meet.

Iries parted her hair behind her ear. "Are they all for university or just for one guy?" She closed her eyes tightly and looked back at her. "You're doing this for him not for our university," she added.

"I'm doing this because I want to help. Now, if you have nothing else good to say, the door is widely open for you. Go away."

Iries smiled. She handed the book back to her and walked away a little. "I remembered, you said more surprises," she said. "More surprises?"

"Go away, now."

"We expect more surprises from you, Pershey. I'm gonna tell Aunt Sherina about your more exciting incoming surprises," she said and left. She let out a sigh and swallowed.

"Such an evil cousin," she whispered. She adjusted herself first before walking.

She sat down in the librarian chair. She opened the book and began to read. The book lay on the table, covering her face.

In fact, she's not reading. She's sleeping. Her head was on desk, the book is covering her face.

She is now in front of the library. In total, the library has three rooms. First is for school books, second is room for wattpad books and stories from other platforms, and, last is deluxe room for Pershey.

"Here's my library card, Miss," he handed the card. When he noticed that the librarian was not paying attention to him, he put it down on the table. He stood in front of Pershey's table. He was busy reading while waiting for the permission of Pershey who he thought was the former librarian. He didn't notice her face because the book covered Pershey's face. Same as Pershey. She was unaware of what was happening because she was sound asleep.

For a moment Neil put down the book and looked at the librarian. "Miss? I put on desk my library card," he said. He heard no response from Pershey.

Their principal mentioned her name again. And this time, she had already heard that. She walked slowly as she continued to bow. She heard whispers from the students.

"She donated that boxes?"

"She's literally the richest student of this university," she smiled as their eyes met. She smiled back.

"She's Pershey?"

"She's so kind," she smiled again at the compliments she heard.

She just kept walking until she could get on stage. The teachers smiled at her especially the principal and the students.

"Good morning, Ms. Adejar," the principal greeted her. She smiled and stepped closer. Sbe looked at the students. She could see that everyone was staring at her. She looks like an actress.

She looked again and smiled at the principal, "A peaceful morning, Mrs. Principal," she turned her gaze back to the students. She looked at Leighden to the right but she couldn't see Neil. He was really what her eyes were looking for.

She was given a microphone so that everyone could better hear what she had to say. She felt a little embarrassed especially since she was on stage.

"Ms. Adejar," the principal's preface. She looked at her and waited for what she would say next. "Everyone was shocked at the gifts the University received this morning," she added. She smiled and would have kept quiet. "We are so grateful for the kindness you are doing," she said.

"Always welcome," she replied and smiled as she looked at the students.

"What are the boxes you sent for? What are the contents of the boxes, Ms. Adejar?"

She blinked. "Books," she replied. Teachers and students smiled. Some even clapped with joy. "Books for everyone," she added.

"You probably distributed so many books, Ms. Adejar. Last year, you donated thousands of books and 100 + thousands for a wide library and now ... you donated again," she thought about what the principal was pointing out. "We're so blessed to have you, Ms. Adejar," she smiled as the students applauded.

"I was honored to be a student of this university, Ma'am," she replied.

"However, why you donated again a boxes of books?" She was silent for a moment and thought of an answer. "Ms. Adejar?"

"Well ..."

"Why you're always donating for this university?"

"Amm, well ... those books are for my co-students and teachers. I want them to have a book to read that will gather lessons whenever they are sad or whenever they have free time. There's a hidden peace in reading books, "she explained then took a deep breath and smiled.

"Thankyou for you answer, Ms. Adejar. We're so blessed to have a student like you."

"Our library was widely open for everyone and expect more surprises."

They applauded and could not hide the smiles on their lips. She returned the microphone and got off the stage. Boxes of books have been brought to the library.

It was 8:33 AM. Pershey went to the library again. She had to make sure the books were in good condition. She's checking the books she donated.

At this moment, she saw Neil currently standing while holding a book. He's in wattpad library. He leaned against the wall, his gaze focused on the book.

Pershey's cheeks suddenly blushed. "You skipped class again?" someone asked her at her back. She turned to see who had asked.

She smiled. "Why?" She's Iries, holding a book entitled 'Our Asymptomatic Love Story'.

"I always see you here, Pershey," she commented. "Are not you studying?" she asked. She smiled at her. "You're in University, Pershey. My Aunt Sherina supporting you in your studies so that you can be useful to manage the company but you're just wasting your time here. You're not even studying, not even an honor student," she added. She refrained from hitting her even more since she didn't want to ruin her day just because of Iries.

She sat down modestly before answering. "Iries," she called. She slowly looked at Iries. "I didn't skipped class, for your knowledge," she replied. "I came here to check the books and I came here to be a librarian, temporarily," she added. Iries smiled slightly with mixed annoyance. "Why you're here ... too?" she asked. "Looks like you missed class and I didn't, am I right, Iries?"

"I have a vacant time, Pershey, don't ask me back," she scolded. She crossed her arms. "And another one, it seems like you're not checking the books, Pershey Adejar."

"I checked already."

"Really? Checking the books or ... following Neil?"

She smiled first. As much as she could, she held back. She is not used to being angry."Perhaps," she said. She got up and walked around. Neil is a bit far away but you can see him. She's touring the first row.

The librarian was absent. As of today, Pershey will be the one who will be a librarian temporarily.
