Ashma never knew her father. Her mother and maternal granddad are the only family she knows. She hates her father as he left her mother after she became pregnant out of wedlock. But her mother made sure that she grows up into an independent woman. She is a world-renowned fashion designer. Suddenly she gets news of another family of her fathers as her half-sister seeks her out. Everyone in the new family loves her except her paternal grandfather. He hates her as she is an illegitimate child and would cause a scandal if the word of her existence comes out. She hates him as he destroyed her mother’s life, and he ordered his son to leave her mother forever. They go toe to toe at every turn. Who will win the familial war? Will they ever learn to love each other? Will Ashma accept her new family or reject their love?
I love what I have read so far from the book. It’s interesting and well written as well. The plot is on point and characterization too was perfect. I highly recommend this.

The writing is funny and witty. The banter and tension between two leads are awesome. I love the dynamic between grandfather and granddaughter. Looking forward to more chapters.
As I write after every chapter "It's a privilege to have a loving and understanding family", I am trying to stay true to the saying in my story. Ashma knows only two family members, her mother and her maternal grandfather but one day she gets a call from her half-sister. how will she react on the news? Will she accept her new family? The story line is actually amazing and the characters are interesting but all the same the Author really did a great job in writing the book!
Reading a book with intense story development is something one doesn't see often, the descriptions are top notch the development of the MC and introduction of her family with expertise and a delicate play of emotions is something only few can achieve... Good Book❤️

To Be or Not to Be a Family was recommended to me in a Facebook group. It’s refreshing coming to a story knowing zero about it and having the plot unfold so neatly in front of you. Following Ashma as she unravels the secrets of her family was especially interesting given the dynamic of the South Korean family. The interactions between the characters was rich and varied, at times funny and at other times heart breaking and everything in between. When I finished reading, I knew that I’d have to visit Seoul one day. I’m a fan of stories that put families and their complex relationships at their core and that’s what To Be or Not to Be a Family is. There are universal themes here that transcend culture and form part of what overall was a very enjoyable read.
You are so talented but man some of that was hard to read. You had the right ideas but the flow needs work. I had to reread some paragraphs because the wording didn't make things clear. Find ways to be more efficient with your words take the time to round out skill
Love, Love this book. I enjoyed the story till now. The FL and Grandfather's relation is fun. but he should accept her as soon as possible.
Reading this story is so fun. Writer has done a superb job explaining all the emotions and feelings. Many times I cried in this story. This gif shows my emotions completely.
Amazing story! I loved reading it, Ashma's character is fun and her fight with her grandfather is more fun. All the family members have accepted Ashma then why not Young-Jae. waiting for the day he will too accept her.
What a book amazingly amazing. It completely blew my mind. It managed to surpass my high expectations and keep managing to engage. Just when readers think there are no more ways to surprise, this highly promising talent comes up with something new. Quick Thoughts and Rating, 5 stars. Read this amazing book without having any second thoughts.
I love this awesome Korean drama. I could not put the book down once started. All the characters feel like they are main, the dialogues are equally distributed. You are one of my favorite writer.
