REGRET

"Why did I have to meet with Dimas, anyway? Why does Ryan have to be in the same restaurant anyway? And why did he have to see us together?" Aleeta kept hitting the soft object in her lap to vent her frustration.

Aleeta seemed very annoyed with the coincidences that she did not expect, thus creating a misunderstanding between herself and Rendra.

"What if he gets angrier and thinks I'm really bad? Argh!" Aleeta dropped her body on the bed roughly. Stomping his hands and feet at the same time.

This is the first time Aleeta regrets a decision she made. The woman felt stupid, why should she test Rendra with such a joke? What if the man actually chose to back down?

Aleeta immediately got up and sat up, grabbed the cellphone that she placed on the nightstand. Without thinking, the woman immediately pressed the call button on Rendra's number. Enter. However, there is no answer. Even though I have tried several times, the result is still the same.

"Could he be busy?" Aleeta muttered without removing the object from her ear. He kept waiting for the owner of the number to answer his call.

"He should be home already, right?" Aleeta turned to stare at the flat object. Typing something in his green app chat room.

Seconds turned to minutes, minutes turned to hours. There was no response whatsoever from Rendra. He didn't even read her message at all. Aleeta let out a shaky breath. The woman then walked towards the large glass window in her room.

The view of the twinkling city lights looked beautiful down there. It's the same with the sky that looks so beautiful with a sprinkling of stars that adorn it. He should be able to enjoy the beauty, but everything is inversely proportional to the state of his heart. No matter how beautiful the scene in front of him was, it wouldn't have any effect on him.

The sound of a message notification from her cellphone made Aleeta gasped and immediately took the object.

"Huh!" Aleeta snorted harshly when the message wasn't from someone she expected.

Aleeta threw the object on the bed and was about to go to the sofa. However, he stopped when the phone rang again. Not a message notification sound, but an incoming call tone. A happy smile crossed his face when he knew that it was a call from someone he really hoped for.

"Hello...." Aleeta was already lying on the bed when she answered the phone.

"Hi, sorry for not being able to contact you." silence. There was no answer whatsoever from Aleeta. The hoarse voice of the man who was calling her managed to make Aleeta silent.

"Aleeta… I'm sorry if I made you worry." Aleeta could hear Rendra's heavy breathing as he said that.

"Aleeta… I'm sorry, maybe in the next few days I won't see or contact you first. I'm not giving up. It's just, I need time to calm down and recover my heart. I'm still waiting for an answer from you. Whatever that is." Rendra put emphasis at the end of his sentence.

Rendra's words managed to bring Aleeta to tears. Though all day she had been very anxious for fear that the man would back down.

"Thank God," Aleeta whispered unconsciously between her tears.

"What? What did you say just now, Aleeta?" Rendra questioned what he had just heard. He didn't want to misunderstand himself.

Aleeta flinched because it was unusual for what she was thinking to escape her lips. "Sorry, Rendra. My assistant is calling, it seems there is something important. Bye."

Immediately Aleeta turned off the phone. His chest heaved up and down indicating that he had just gone through a very dangerous situation. How could he say what was on his mind? Ah, looks like he needs to rest his body, heart and mind.

Aleeta threw her body roughly on the bed until it bounced. His gaze focused on the ceiling, a moment later he stomped his hands and feet together. After that he turned his body so that he was face down, then pulled the blanket up to cover his entire body.

Throughout the rest of the night, Aleeta cursed a lot for the decisions she made regarding Rendra. Starting from the decision to make the man wait until the decision to invite Dimas to play a role.

The sun has shone on the horizon and illuminates the entire universe. As if greeting all residents on earth to be more excited to welcome the day.

A beautiful woman with long hair was still sleeping on a king-sized bed. The blanket still covered his entire body up to his chest. He squirmed when he heard a sound that sounded continuously and disturbed him.

I don't know who called him that early. Like not having a job. He felt the surface of the nightstand which was located right next to the bed. Looking for a flat object that has been ringing ever since.

"Hello who is this?" asked the woman in a hoarse voice that had just woken up. Of course his eyes were still closed so he didn't know who was calling him.

"Sorry, Miss Aleeta, it's me. I just wanted to say that the project in Australia has a problem and you need to sort it out in person, Ma'am. So I'll have a plane ticket ready for us and I'll be there in about 45 minutes."

Aleeta let out a long sigh hearing her assistant's explanation. One problem has not been solved yet, another problem has arisen. "Okay."

Aleeta straightened her arms and legs to stretch her muscles after hanging up the phone. He put his cell phone on the bed. Then, hurriedly went to the bathroom to clean his body.

The woman twirled around in front of a standing mirror showing her reflection. Judging from his appearance, he wore a burgundy suit and pants that contrasted with his white skin.

"Perfect," he said to himself. Yes, if no one can praise you, then you can only praise yourself so that your confidence is maintained.

He grabbed a black suitcase and pulled it towards the door outside. With one turn he opened the door.

After a shrill clinking sound, the elevator doors finally opened on the first floor. Aleeta also walked gracefully out of the small room while pulling her suitcase. A pair of sunglasses perched comfortably on the bridge of his nose.

Her figure who walks like a model at a fashion show certainly attracts the attention of anyone who looks at her.

His net immediately caught the figure of the assistant who had called him earlier sitting waiting for him. Immediately the woman rose from her seat when she saw Aleeta's arrival.

"Good morning, Miss Aleeta." The boss immediately replied with a nod. "Shall we go now?" Again and again Aleeta only answered with a nod.

It's not that he's fasting or has thrush. It's just that his voice was hoarse from crying a lot last night.
