Subjugation[3]

After briefly watching Aaron's fight,

Samuel shifted his focus to Magnus, who appears to be having an easy time handling his opponent.

Boom ---!

'He's really amazing.'

Samuel knew that Magnus was very special compared to his peers of the same level.

Thanks to enhancing his body with mana, he overcame his fatal weakness,

And became capable of facing his enemies at both close and long range.

This enabled him to become an extremely proficient war mage.

As for Aaron, he is taking advantage of this tough battle in order to develop his abilities, sharpen his skills and quench his thirst for fighting.

"I will stay on this side in order not to disturb their battle."

This was the best solution they had agreed upon previously.

All he had to do was hide inside Magnus's shields like a turtle and wait for the matter to end.

Also, he could watch the experts' battle calmly.

- Swoosh.

Quickly, Aaron chanted a spell,

By chanting a 5-star fire spell called [Fire Cage ] he formed an array of elegant fire swords that emitted a terrifying fiery aura.

"Tsk, die."

[Fire Cage]

Aaron thrust his hands forward, flames enveloping his body like a snake.

And he sent the fiery swords towards the masked men to give himself a chance to retreat.

- Swoosh.

Then a magical white circle appeared under his legs, and in the blink of an eye, he vanished from his spot, reappearing a few meters away.

" Arg! "

A groaning sound was heard.

Two masked men were injured by the attack and were thrown back several meters,

While the others were able to smoothly avoid the attack and move towards Aaron like a thunderbolt.

With furrowed brows, Aaron stared at his opponents.

"Tsk, it's really difficult, but...- "

- Swoosh.

But he was interrupted in the middle of his sentence by a subtle and swift attack targeting his heart.

" This … "

Instinctively, Aaron twisted his body with difficulty, only to be hit in his left shoulder by the enemy's dagger.

– Drip ---!

Aaron's blood dripped onto the floor as he retreated a few meters once again thanks to the [Instant Teleportation] spell.

"Argh"

He suppressed his pain, then skillfully removed the dagger embedded in his shoulder, causing blood to flow abundantly.

"Aargh ! "

– Drip ---!

A large amount of blood spilled from Aaron's wound, which he quickly stemmed with a low-level healing potion that he took out from his spatial ring.

"This is fun... "

Aaron wiped the sweat from his forehead, muttering these words as he stared at the group of masked men heading towards him.

Facing killers ranging between 3 and 5 stars is a difficult thing for him, even if he's called a genius.

Especially since he is a magician who lacks short-range combat abilities,

And can only skillfully control and manipulate two elements, namely...

The space and fire elements.

[Fire Explosion]

Aaron prepared a giant crimson fireball in his right hand and then threw it towards his enemies, muttering excitedly,

"Should I try my new skill on them?"

.....

Samuel watched Aaron's battle with interest, observing his movements.

-Bang!

-Bang!

Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by a loud explosion in the opposite direction.

When he turned his head to see what was happening,

He could see the ongoing and violent clash between X and Magnus.

At first glance, it seems as if both Magnus and X were equal and neither of them had the upper hand in the fight.

However,

Samuel knew that Magnus was just toying with his opponent because he didn't want to end the fight too soon.

As a Seven-Star Peak War Mage, it easy for him to subjugate someone like X.

And he didn't even need to use his most powerful ability—the power of spirits.

" I will kill you ."

X let out a deep scream, then he violently rushed towards Magnus.

His movements didn't contain a specific pattern, but rather seemed somewhat random.

Yet, the force behind each swing of his sword wasn't something that could be taken lightly, as it held unimaginable power.

Magnus, standing behind a solid purple barrier, understood this fact perfectly.

X's attacks were extremely relentless and powerful, forcing him to retreat into a defensive position.

The latter was very wary of Magnus's skills. And he didn't give his opponent the opportunity to cast any spells.

[First Special Swordsmanship Skill: The dragon of Destruction]

- Roar

Red ki exploded non-stop from X's body,

For a split second, a partial illusory image of a frightening and menacing red dragon appeared behind X.

X infused the crazy red ki into his sword, making it extremely long.

Also appearing on the top of his sword, a faint shape of a red dragon emitting a destructive aura.

" die "

- Roar

" Interesting …"

Magnus smiled slightly as he felt threatened for the first time by X's brutal attack.

" But unfortunately … It's still a weak attack. "

By tapping his cane on the ground, a giant ripple formed on the ground beneath him, shaping into a massive and sturdy earth barrier reinforced with his purple mana.

And with a swift motion of his hands, a powerful gust of compressed violet wind rushed out, aiming to lessen the impact of the X devastating attack.

- Boom.

But, X powerful attack pierced the violet winds easily .

- Boom--!

A powerful wave of energy swept out as the massive sword collided with the earth's shield,

- Crack .

After the collision, a scary sight unfolded as spider cracks appeared on the earth barrier that Magnus had created.

"Huh"

Taking advantage of the few seconds before the earth barrier was destroyed, Magnus's figure faded away to appear a few meters away from where he was before.

Then he muttered with admiration,

"Your skill is truly amazing. No wonder Samuel wants to recruit you… "

A rare trace of reverence appeared on old Magnus's face when he experienced X's terrifying attack.

Then he added coldly,

"Unfortunately, playtime is over."

Magnus tapped his cane on the ground, and a group of purple magic circles appeared above him.

Then a red bolt of lightning came out from the magic circles,

Followed by another one…

Within a second, several bolts of red lightning flew out in succession, surrounding him like menacing snakes eyeing their prey.

Boom!

Then the lightning condensed together, shattering the office ceiling and creating a huge vortex of lightning.

Within the vortex, chaotic power surged, radiating an aura of destruction.

The two stood facing each other,

They stared at each other as they prepared to launch a terrifying attack

"Do you think I'll let you finish?!"

X ran madly towards Magnus, swinging his sword in a desire to interrupt his enemy's terrifying spell that sent chills through his bones.

All this happened in a few seconds,

And Magnus quickly opened his mouth as he cast a light glance toward his student, who was confronting his enemies' bravely.

"Let's get this over with."

Magnus raised his cane and pointed its head at X.

The vortex above the room responded to Magnus' action, causing space to tear apart and unleashing a powerful bolt of red lightning.

Samuel stood behind the shields and stared at the attack, surprised by how powerful Magnus's devastating attack was.

If it weren't for the defensive shields that the latter had set up, he would have already perished due to the energy produced by them.

Whenever he stared at the red lightning, Samuel felt threatened and frightened at the same time.

"Huh."

Using all the ki energy in his body, X's muscles expanded;

The latter tightened his grip on his sword; the space surrounding the huge sword distorted, and then he released a red slash, muttering softly.

[Incomplete Swordsmanship: Red Glare]

"You have the honor of tasting one of my original spells..."

"Damn it..." X shouted,

- Clank!

- Boom!

The red lightning collided with the X attack, shaking the entire shadow guild facility and blowing up all the contents of the room.

Both Aaron and the masked men stopped fighting to protect themselves from the repercussions of X-Magnus's battle.

While the shields around Samuel's body exploded successively.

Luckily, the last shield held up against the force of the explosion.

Dust spread throughout the ruined office, preventing everyone from seeing the outcome of the battle.

After a few seconds, the dust receded, revealing a blurry shape in the middle.

Of course, as Samuel expected, the blurry figure was Magnus, standing elegantly in place.

His clothes weren't damaged by X's attack, as if he hadn't fought a while ago.

While in the southern corner, X was pushed back like a projectile to the point that he broke through the wall of the room and his body entered the next room

Magnus stared in X's direction, muttering slowly.

"Was I too harsh on him?"
