Since Lan was still sleeping even as the sun was setting, Liwei went out for a brief period of time. She went to Sun and Moon inn to greet Madam Zheng.

"Liwei ?" she called out as soon as she entered the inn.

"Yes, hello !"

Madam Zheng had a plate in her hands, but she quickly set it back on the counter. She wiped her hands on her apron and rushed toward Liwei, who was making her way at a slower pace toward her.

When she reached her level, Madam Zheng held her hands. "Where have you been ?"

"On a kind of trip."

"On a trip ? There was a ghost attack a couple of months ago and you disappeared at the same time ! Do you have any idea how worried I was ?"

Liwei smiled apologetically. "I just came back and heard about it, but I was already gone when it happened." Then her expression turned serious. "But tell me, did anything happen to you ?"

She shook her head, "No, thank the gods ! I saw them so close to my house, but they didn't even stop by."
