Chapter 7

"If you don't mean to maybe there's a chance you'll go back to the past?"

"Gone."

"You didn't mean to but you did." It was so frustrating to turn my back that I immediately hugged it.

"You'll understand this when you get older by now you understand it's happening to us."

"I hope dad told you right away so I didn't love Mommy Shien too much."

“If you loved Mommy Shien,” I introduced her. "You'll love Mommy Sha more too. Just try to lose nothing. She's a good person, and she's willing to take care of you."

The face was still frowning which I immediately hugged tightly.

"She'll pick you up tomorrow okay?" Even if it doesn't go away, I know she's in favor of what I want. Pauline was a good child and she could understand why I tried to bring her closer to Shariffa.

"GIRLS, I will pick you up before four in the afternoon." I remind before they go down.

"Yes, sir." Shariffa. I watched them get away from the car. Sha chases after my daughter, while Pau doesn't care. Hey, a little patience Sha, you and my daughter will also get along.

AFTER the stressful job I picked them up around three-thirty in the afternoon. They were both waiting for me to catch up outside the school. Pauline seemed to move faster when she got into the car and then Sha followed.

"How was your whole day? Was there a problem?"

"At work there's a lot to finish but in picking up Pau I'm easily happy when this set-up happens to us." I glanced at Pau in the rear-view mirror but it was just ignore.

"I guess it's better, if we take a walk where you want, you Pauline?" My gentle question.

"We're just at home. I have a lot of assignments." It looks out the window.

"Don't think too much about your homework Pau we'll do that after this outing, won't we, love?"

"Right after that let's eat outside so we can go home and do our homework." I agree with this.

But Pauline still ignore seems to have the depth of her thoughts.

"Pau?" I call to turn around right away.

"Are you okay at your school? If you're not happy I can transfer you to another school."

"Why would you do that? You don't like me when you're tired of just leaving. I'm happy at school, that's it."

I clung so tightly to the steering wheel. Shariffa immediately grabbed me by the arm so that I would not understand what she said. It's annoying that Sha has a wide understanding of how if it was another woman with us. She might have been raped. It's a good thing she's really long -suffering unlike lately when I kept her always hot headed.

It was a happy trip that Shariffa and I just adjusted. We even had to adjust to what she was doing. Once again I wanted to be angry because she was torturing Sha. If something is sold then it will not be accepted. There was a time when all the things she bought for school were brought to Sha and my girlfriend didn't want to help me. You know that, she tries to be nice but my daughter doesn't want to be nice. Ugh, I think I'm going to have a headache with both of them. Hey, a little patience Peps they'll get along too.

"Let's do your homework."

"No thanks, I'll just do it myself, maybe you answered wrong."

"But… I just want to help."

"If you want to help don't bother me."

My daughter immediately locked the room. Shariffa turned around and I knew she was frowning but immediately smiled when she saw me.

"Take a break too, love. It's hard to tame a child especially if she can't."

"I can tame her too."

"You can do that but this time we have to take care of the wedding."

"You're right then there's nothing she can do when we're married."

"That's exactly what I'm aiming for."

"One day she will never go near your ex-wife because of me she will come." She looked sad at the door.

JUST two months later. I don't know why our lives have changed so much. I can’t say they’re okay but somehow Pauline is being nice to her. Not only is my daughter talkative like before but now she is hiding so much.

["Good morning, Mr. Peps Victoria."]

["Yes, speaking."]

["Good day, Mr. I would like to talk to you and your spouse about your child's behavior."]

I focused on the office tv and realized there was a problem.

["Okay, Mrs. Policarprio I'm on my way now."] Just as the cellphone hung down I picked up the car key.

"Sir Peps, the meeting is about to begin." Chasing my secretary.

"Postpone first I have an emergency meeting at Pauline's school."

"But sir, everyone is already in the conference room." I was stunned. "You're the only one waiting."

I got to sigh. I was stuck in the situation so eventually I called Shariffa to go to Pauline and she was the only one to talk. Shortly after the meeting I went straight to school.

"Love." Shariffa spoke to my daughter's adviser.

"Sorry for what happened." I immediately took the vacant seat. "What is your concern for my daughter?"

Shariffa looked at them.

"I'll go out first." She's goodbye and the teacher had a chance to speak.

"It's been a few months since I've noticed your daughter's change, Mr. Peps. Actually, it's been a big problem in his grades. I don't want to interfere in your family's problems but Pauline is too young to understand your problem with your wife."

"Excuse me but we don't have a family problem, especially my wife." I comment.

"I think she's not your wife right?" its signal at the door.

"Okay sorry I get that. Shariffa is my girlfriend and my ex -wife are separated."

"This is my concern. She is very affected by what happened. Can't you fix that? The child will be the miserable one between you and your ex-wife."

"I can't talk to my ex-wife anymore so what else can I do?"

"There's still Mr. Peps… maybe the girl prefers you to get along with his mommy or else she prefers to stay with your ex-wife either way."

"But she's not really ---"

"It's up to you to decide that. Only us, his teachers, let the child return to his former vigor. She is unfortunate, and she is still the only student of mine who has seen perseverance in learning."

"I understand Mrs. Policarpio I will do what needs to be done. Sorry for the inconvenience."

"There's nothing, I want to be all right and the formerly active Pauline is back."

"Yes, thank you very much."

"If you have a concern, you can come to me or call me to change his behavior."

I nodded before saying goodbye.

I found Pauline and Shariffa talking even though I didn't understand anything in their conversation. I knew she was scolding my daughter. Stepping closer to them, I was very nervous as I watched my ex-wife hurry to walk closer to where we were. This twitter I do not fully understand.
