"Mother, look," I said while handing a flower towards her with a flushed look on my face.
"Who allowed her into my chambers" she replied with an uninterested look while turning towards a maid.
"Duchess, Today is the Yearly Meeting"
"Get her out, I am not in the mood to be in the presence of filth Today"
"As You Wish, Duchess"
I felt a hand approach me and start to pull me away, And even though I knew they were stronger than me, I still attempted to resist while calling out: "Mother, MOTHER!"
I woke up with a start. Staying at the Hospital with the heavy smell of sanitizer and sadness was starting to affect my sleep.
I needed a plan, if possible, I wanted to leave this country, or maybe the entire continent, But I couldn't. Not in a country where I haven't reached the legal age yet and with no way to make money quickly.
In the plot, Teirrah was never concerned with saving money, not when she was obsessed with the male lead and studying. Even though I hated to admit it, the past me was also useless, I had spent my past life chasing after my parent's love, then scheming against the female lead while obsessing over the male lead, so there was no time to actually learn the things that were expected of a Noble, Not when I was basically hated by both parents. So I was reincarnated with no skills attached.
Thinking about it now, my past life didn't make much sense. The fact that I was sired by the second most influential people, but was treated worse than a maid, while the female lead that was born from a Courtesan and was illegitimate, was still treated like a Queen in an age where Courtesans were seen as the lowest in the society.
My mother had always told me that I repulsed her because I came from an act that was disgusting, but still came to love the Female lead that also came from such an act. I guess the author just really hated my character.
The only way I knew how to improve myself, was to go to school and that needed money, the money I would need to get from the Quinn's which means I had to continue living with them. Which brings me back to Square one. How to get far away from the plot.
*Days Later*
Staying at the Hospital quickly got boring and made me miss the taste of Properly cooked food. So I was happy to be released earlier.
"You are almost completely healed, With proper rest and avoiding situations that require lots of strength, You should be perfectly fine in a week" The doctor informed me "We called your parents, but we were told that they are busy, so a driver was delegated to pick you up.
"Thank you for your care"
"Well it is my Job and Good Luck kid," He said with a lift on both sides of his lips as he walked away.
Yes, Good luck to me too, because I know I will need it.
*Knock Knock*
"come in"
"Your driver is here," A woman in scrubs said
"I will be down in a minute"
Packing my bags, I stepped out.
I saw a Middle-aged man standing beside a black car. He was tall with an average build. I remember him, He was the driver who took on more of the plot Teirrah tantrums. Before entering the car, I greeted "Good Afternoon"
I could see the shock in his expression, He looked at me like I was a different person. Well, in a way I was. I, too, would be surprised if someone who greeted me with insults suddenly turned polite. I wanted to give the past Teirrah a knock on the head.
"Good Afternoon, Miss" he stammered out while also entering the car.
*Behind the scenes*
It seems the fall affected her greatly.
