Scars to Hide

Today was a beautiful day, The sun slowly streamed down from my window and decorated it with its shimming lights. It was the day when my first step of staying away from the plot will be implemented.

I got up from bed and placed my colouring book on the side table beside my bed. I should get more later with how quickly the pages are being used, It was almost completely filled with colours. After washing up, I walked past the full body mirror in my bathroom and paused, "What did I just see". Stepping back in front of the mirror, I stared at the naked profile of my body. I saw that there was a scar running through the middle section of my chest.

"But the character Teirrah never had a scar"…" Wait, is this from my real body?"

—It is, isn't it?. This should be from when I was impaled by his sword-

I thought, tracing the scar that made a bridge through the upper section of my chest on my slightly tanned skin, and it was a bit bumpy.

—Is this because the body is fully becoming mine. Will my hair and eye colour change too? Will my face also change? I hope not. The thought of seeing my past face pulled my lips down-

"No, it won't," I thought, trying to convince myself

— Please don't change.- I guess no more opened buttoned shirts or gowns for me-

Rushing out of the bathroom, I quickly got dressed in the uniform delivered yesterday. It was a blue striped short skirt paired with a white short sleeve with a black jacket to top it off.

I said goodbye to the cameras and left my room. Make sure you do your Job properly today.

.....................

I stared at the building ahead of me after stepping out of the car. It looked a lot less intimidating than Great oak High school. It was painted with warm colours, which contrasted beautifully with the flowers and trees planted around it. On the upper part of the building, the name of the building was written out in block letters. LAGUNA CREEK ACADEMY.

I was very glad that I was starting in a new term, so I wouldn't be the only new person in school. The many books I have been reading told me that that wasn't a good thing for someone like me that did not want attention.

While walking down the hallways I saw lots of people rushing about and talking with their companions.

"Excuse me, but are you Teirrah?" A middle-aged man said after looking up from a file showing a list of names.

"Yes"

"I am the homeroom teacher of your class. Please follow me while I direct you to your classroom"

"Ah yes, thank you. I was afraid of getting lost" I said while silently adding -with my poor sense of direction-

As we got closer to a classroom with its beige-coloured door open, I heard the talks of the rowdy students slip out.

"Settle down people, We have a new student today, please introduce yourself"

Staring at the rows of students, I greeted with a bow:

"Good day everyone. My Name is Teirrah. Pleased to meet you"

"Your seat is just behind Li Sicheng," He said, pointing out a boy whose brown hair fell down in waves. His amber eyes kind of reminded me of my cat from my past life. Aside from him looking a little familiar.

"Ekk" He squeaked out, burying his face into his book.

-I wonder what that was about-

The classes seemed to pass by in a blur, with me trying to recall why I found him familiar and concentrate on understanding the new subjects I would have to learn in the future with the little sleep I had Last night. I enjoyed it a little, though. The students seemed normal with no drama flying around.

Everyone seemed to mind their business for once. And although some people wanted to know more about me and tried inviting me over to their table. With a few No's and excuses here and there, they seemed to get it and stopped asking. It was completely normal that it made me forget that if something is ever too good to be true, it probably isn't.

-I didn't have the time for friendship right now. Yes, Teirrah's memories and smarts were transferred onto me, but I still needed to familiarize myself with the new terms and so on. It was very different from the schoolwork, from my other world-

...............................

I came home to see the maids buzzing around adjusting and decorating things here and there, reminding me that the banquet began tomorrow and that that incident was beginning soon. Checking to again make sure that the recording switch had been turned on, I turned towards the Head maid that was striding in my direction.

"Miss Teirrah, Mr and Mrs Quinn requested your presence in the office," She said with her nose wrinkled and a frown on her face.

-And with my years of seeing that look on the faces of everyone I had ever met, I knew it was a look of disappointment-

"Yes, escort me there" I replied with a sigh.

-Time to finally put it to good use-

*Behind the scenes 1*

Why is she staring at me

Does she recognize me?

I hope not.

Ahh so embarrassing.

*Behind the Scenes 2*

I guess just as a Tiger cannot change its stripes, she cannot either.

What a shame that her personality is undeserving of her demeanour.
