Chapter 209 New Teammate - 1

Delia strode through the empty church building, padding up to the altar in silence. A priest at an end simply waved at her as she bowed, proceeding to the first roll.

Delia took a seat, pulling off her hat. She exhaled in relief, before flipping her Bible open.

She selectively flapped pages to a particular page with a bookmark. She began to read silently to herself.

The priest strode around the corners, carrying on with his own business, before padding out through a back door.

Delia continued to read for a few more minutes.

After a while of confirming the priest was truly far gone, Delia shut her Bible.

She threw her head back, closing her eyes to meditate as she sighed. After a little while, she began whispering her prayers.

A few silent moments passed.

"Hello?"

Delia slowly opened her eyes, turning to the space next to her.

Aileed smiled, sitting in the exact same clothes as Delia.
