Chapter 226 Roman's Charade - 2

A few days passed, with nothing of the unusual occuring in the Clark's mansion.

Despite Roman's stay at the mansion, he saw very less of her then expected. She was always working two four seven—catching a glimpse of her at morning on her way to work, but hardly seeing her till the next morning, not sure what time of the night she had returned.

Roman had then restricted himself to the guest room he was given, feeling some level of intimidation from the guards whenever he tried to step out.

It felt like they were watching him all round like he was a criminal or suspect, causing him to remain reserved.

Later one night...

Delia returned home at pass midnight, striding tiredly into her bedroom.

She slammed her door, dragging herself to the shower.

After a few minutes, Delia then stepped out wrapped in her towel robe. She walked into the closet to dress more appropriately, before making her way to the inner room.
