He will be the Raja

It was the day before Rufus was supposed to fight Tride. Haley was very nervous for Rufus and wasn't sure if he would come back alive. She was tracing back and forth in the camp hoping to hear something from Rufus.

Haley then saw a lot of commotion in the streets of Lehasa. She wasn't sure what was going on. She started to enter the city with her two Dechen tribal warriors who had stayed behind with her.

All the grey skins of the city from all the different tribes that were visiting in the city had gathered around one street. They all looked in awe as a small entourage of grey skins and a few humans strolled through the street. What was special about this entourage was that there was a human riding the Seng.

The Dechen tribesmen also had made quickly banners that everyone knew that they were the Dechen tribe. It was such a sight many of the grey skins had never seen before. Tashi ran to the front of the crowd and was extremely baffled at how this was possible. Someone had tamed and made the brutal Seng into a loyal pet and of all people it was Rufus.

"This is Rufus. Rufus is the leader of the Dechen tribe. He is a human, but he is still our leader. He has proven to us that race doesn't matter and he is willing to give his life for his tribe. He has proven many times that he is a worthy leader to us. Shouldn't this be enough proof to you too?" Amala proclaimed in grey skin language to everyone.

Rufus felt uncomfortable having so many eyes staring at him. He felt like he was an exotic animal on display. Rufus looked and saw that Gwon was extremely nervous and was shaking a lot.

"Hey, hey, hey. It's okay. Don't worry," Rufus said trying to calm Gwon.

Gwon stopped shaking and gave a large roar that was heard through the entire city. Gwon then kept on walking forward after startling everyone.

"He believes in Tenzin's dream. A dream that we were unable to achieve eight hundred years ago. A country for both races. Rufus fights for that dream. Please fight with him," Amala yelled to everyone looking at them.

Many of the grey skins were not sure what to do. Tashi and his tribe soon joined in on the crowd. they all started to stomp their feet in rhythm.

"DECHEN! TENZIN!" they started to chant.

Soon one by one more grey skin started to join in on the chant. More and more grey skins started to chant for support of the Dechen tribe and Rufus.

They walked in front of the great tribal building. Among them was a huge crowd of their supporters. Tride and his tribal members came outside of the great tribal building and looked at the crowd.

They looked at Rufus who stood on top of the Seng. Tride looked extremely shocked at first but it turned fast into anger. Amala stepped up with Pema out of the crowd and confronted Tride.

"You said last time that Rufus can not have any claim to be the Raja. How about now. Will you say to all of them that Rufus doesn't have a claim?" Amala said in a loud voice so everyone heard her.

Tride looked around at all the grey skins who supported Rufus. It seemed to him like a last middle finger from Tenzin from the other side.

"Are you all mad? He is a human. Will you trust a human in a war against a human to lead us?" Tride yelled and objected to Rufus being made the Raja.

Tride was able to make many doubt Rufus. They did understand that Tride had a good point. Amala realized this.

"Rufus yes is a human, but he is also a strong person. We value strength, don't we? Rufus was the key and the lock to Tenzin's plan. Rufus is the one keeping Tenzin's dream alive. When you are cheering for Rufus, you are not cheering for Rufus, but for Tenzin's dream," Amala yelled and proclaimed to the crowd.

The crowd exploded for support for Rufus. There were still many people who doubted Tride's plan. They knew that they would have to also work with some humans if they wanted to survive and live also in the flatlands.

Tride was mad as hell. He then silenced the crowd by stomping on the ground causing a small earthquake.

"Fine. It doesn't matter. He will die anyway tomorrow," Tride said and left.
