Children don't see race part 2

Gwon took Liana all over the city from the river docks to the forum, where ever in the city Gwon had worked with Rufus.

They were sitting by the docks looking as the riverboats came and left.

"So where are your parents?" Liana asked.

"Don't have."

"What do you mean?"

"My memory is very fuzzy from when I was young. I remember only small parts. I was alone for a long time and scared. I lived around the mountains walking aimlessly. I do remember though people hating me and fearing me. Every time I tried to get closer to them, they attacked me. Then always my head went dark not knowing what had happened.

"Then I met Rufus. He found me and helped me. He made it so that others wouldn't be afraid of me. He is a very great person and I owe him a lot," Gwon said with a smile.

Liana smiled and listened happily as Gwon kept talking about Rufus like he was his big brother he looked up to.

"He is just sometimes a real pushover. He keeps working hard so I decide to help him since he needs help. Also, everyone calls him naive, don't know what that means," Gwon pondered.

Liana laughed. It didn't sound at all like Rufus she knew or like a king. It was the first time Liana had laughed in a long time.

"I thought I saw wrong but seems I didn't."

The man who looked at them while they were eating street food walked from behind the corner.

The man got closer to the two kids who were sitting on the river docks all alone. With the man came a group of people who all had menacing looks.

"I told you I recognized her. I used to work at the royal palace. She is the not-so-well-known princess."

"She is to blame for all the misery. She doesn't belong in our new kingdom. None of the old royals or noble do."

Gwon went in front of Liana to protect her. He growled like an animal at them and looked angry.

"Shit. The law says we can not harm those grey skins," one of the men said.

"What does it matter, it's just one kid. I can release some pent-up anger now also that I have from sharing my city with those animals."

They tried to push Gwon away and grab Liana, but he kicked the man to the ground. The other men rushed in and started to fight Gwon who was still in his grey skin form. Eventually, the men were able to overpower him and they pinned Gwon to the ground.

They got a hold of Liana and smiled as threw her to the floor. One man took a hammer out and looked with an evil smile at Liana.

"This is for all the shit you royals have done."

Liana looked at Gwon who was being pinned down by the men.

"GWOOOOOON! HELP ME!"

Gwon turned into his Seng form and shook off all the men on top of him and bit the hand of the man with the hammer. The man screamed as Gwon ripped off the hand with his teeth and then pushed the man into the river. Gwon went standing on top of Liana like he was protecting her and roared at the assailants.

Soon more people from grey skins to other humans came to the area because of all the commotion. The grey skin recognized the Seng and started pointing fingers at him and getting scared. Gwon got nasty flashbacks from all the stares as were the same the grey skins had of him before he had met Rufus. He closed his eyes avoiding eye contact wishing he wouldn't remember his painful past.

He then lifted Liana with his teeth and threw her on his back. He started to climb up in the air with his divine power and then ran through the air with Liana grabbing his fur so she wouldn't fall off.

The citizens of the city looked up and saw a white lion running through the sky toward the royal palace. They didn't know what was going on.

Gwon ran through the window breaking it. He stopped and looked behind him as Liana got off his back.

Gwon turned into his grey skin form. He avoided eye contact with Liana.

"I am sorry," Gwon said and started to walk away.

Liana grabbed the hand of Gwon. He then hugged him and cried.

"Thank you so much. I was so scared. I was so afraid," Liana cried as she hugged him.

Gwon looked confused. Liana didn't care at all about his other form and wasn't afraid of him. He instead was thanked.

Gwon's face turned red and he started to feel his heart beat faster.

He pushed Liana off from him and started to laugh with his hand at the back of his head.

"It is okay, Hahahaha, No worries, Hahahahaha, I better get going, Hahahahaha," Gwon said and started to run away like he was embarrassed.
