The Eximas are winged, humanoid beings that inhabit two different heavens. The largest heaven is known as the Exima Benem Heaven, where the honored Exima Benems live. The second is Exima Malum, where the bloodthirsty and almost insane Eximas reside.

They are of the same race and sometimes even worship the same gods, but they could not be more different.

An Exima does not eat or drink, but survives solely on blood.

The Eximas used to war against all races and would overindulge in the blood of their victims. Despite their angelic appearance, they were ravenous fighters and fought as wildly as berserks or demons. Their technology was primitive, and they wore minimal armor but were unmatched in their determination.

The Eximas were once feared more than the Arakne and, unlike the Berserks who often took captives as offerings to their god, death was a certainty if one failed to defend against an Exima.

The Eximas can trace their origins to the world of Hexigol, a rocky and unforgiving place that has seen bloodshed for hundreds of years. It is said the entire world is a massive graveyard.

The Eximas are divided into powerful segments, formerly great armies, that function as countries and can sometimes unite under a powerful divine being or even a god to form a Septime, or "blood storm," as their victims call it.

Their god of wrath, Caedes, is said to be the reason for the Eximas' endless thirst for blood. A defeated demon cursed Caedes and his descendants with an endless thirst for blood in its final act. Caedes felt as the lust for blood swelled inside him and soon couldn't control from ripping his own people apart.

To save his people from him, Caedes is said to have flown into the collapsed universe to battle demons in an endless war and carnage. It is believed that Caedes will come to the rescue of his most devoted servants, mainly the Exima Malum who live and die in battle and revel in bloodshed, but he has occasionally rescued Exima Benes.

The mantle of leading the Exima race fell to the Legion of Carnage. After a thousand years, a new god arose from among them: Scargerok, the most feared warrior of all the Carnage Legion. He led the Eximas in the first blood storm against the elves and other great heavens and worlds. He had a crown where a stone, made from blood, crafted by an elven god, was placed. The crown of Scagerok is still wildly coveted by the eximas, as they crave the blood gem, and the crown is seen as a symbol for those who would rule all of the Eximas.

The blood storms ravaged the universe for millennia until many of the Eximas grew tired. These were the first Exima Benem, and they fled the Legion of Carnage to unknown space, creating their own heaven.

The leader of the Exima Benem was Benevalencia, gifted with divine foresight. She saw the downfall of the Eximas and sought to save her worshippers, leading them to the world of Paradisus and creating a world where the Eximas were redeemed from their endless thirst, although it would occasionally erupt and drive the Exima Benem into madness.

A mighty demon and the children of Pandora's fleet later came to Hexegol and plunged the Legion of Carnage into the bloodiest war in Exima history. The war ended only after Scargerok sacrificed himself to kill an ancient demon. The remnants of the war became the Exima Malum, those who would not give up their thirst for blood and carnage. The Exima Malum resent the Exima Benem to this day and see them as traitors and cowards, vowing to destroy them one day. This is recorded in Exima Malum history.

The Exima Benem believe that the curse of the ancient demon that cursed Caedes intensified the thirst for blood among the Eximas on Hexigol, causing them to turn on each other.
