Start of an emperor part 3

After a few days, Thor took Ala and around a thousand other young boys and girls on his gravity ship. His ship was a magnificent vessel built from iron. The sails were constructed from the skin of a dead leviathan killed by Thor himself.

They flew to the world of Midgard and passed over a kingdom known as Gunfadal. The world of Midgard was not as glorious as Vanaheim, but just like Aesis, the people fought against the elements. Extensive forests and mountains covered the world's surface.

The capital city of Gunfadal and its buildings were more extensive and prominent than anything in the whole world of the Aesis. As they flew, they could spot an immense large tree. It was not a tree, though it looked like one, but a manifestation of just a branch of the mighty Yggdrasil that lay in the world of Asgard.

It was in the world of the Aesir, also known as the forbidden kingdom, where mighty warriors resided. There only those who fell in battle honorably were allowed to live. It was also the realm of the gods.

They were dropped off in a city square with Thor marching threw the masses. All the people fell on their knees and didn't dare to look the mighty god in his eyes.

"My god," the king said and bowed exceptionally down.

"King Sigurd. The all-father sent you these children, so they can be trained and molded into warriors. See it as a gift from him," Thor ordered.

King of Gunfadal looked at the children and seemed displeased. Like he had yet to receive what he had wished for.

"Oh, I am extremely grateful. Of course, but I hope the all-father would think kindly of this service to him. A guarantee to become part of the Aesir kingdom would be very nice," king Sigurd asked while still keeping down.

Thor lifted his hammer on top of the kneeling king. If he dropped it, the king would get crushed to death, as the hammer weighed more than any ordinary mortal could lift.

"This is not a task but a gift to you. You had prayed for years for a chance to fight against the monsters and demons that live on Midgard. To destroy your rival kingdoms. Now the all-father has answered your prayers by giving you at least a thousand youngsters to be molded into machines of war.

"Also, remember this. Don't go groveling for a place in Asgard among the einjahr before you at least thank the all-father for this gift. If I was my father, I would not give you these children, but my hammer instead...." Thor said and threatened the king.

Thor departed the kingdom and left the kids there. As Thor was not close anymore, the king ordered his men to take the kids, and they were immediately taken to the barracks.

"Welcome to Midgard, the world of humans. The mortal humans. On here, every mortal must work if they want to survive. So, pick up an axe and go to the woods so you can build yourselves a home. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! MOVE IT, YOU RATS!" king Sigurd ordered.

The years turned, and many of the kids had died. When the first winter came, many starved, and some were killed by monsters and divine beasts. After one year of living, the kids were forced to join Sigurd's men to go and raid other kingdoms and tribes.

The wars in Midgard were constant and bloody. Great warriors fought for gold and plunder and hoped that a valkyrie would spot them and gain a second life in Asgard. Many died, but no one had certainty or knowledge of who had risen to Asgard and who had not. The fear of death was still valid.

During these years, Ala learned to manifest his divine power and grew strong. He discovered and studied strategy and slowly became the leader of the kids who were forcibly taken to Midgard.

After twenty years of harsh living in the kingdom of Sigurd, Ala had awoken and mastered his divine powers well. He had killed many and was given his own gravity ship to lead his men and go on raids. Becoming a mighty jarl in the Gunfadal kingdom.

The continued killing and raiding had given him a heart of stone, but he also saw how it was different from his world. Though life was hard, no berserk or any other would dare to fight them. The average mortal human was stronger than a mighty noble of Aesis.

During one raiding war, he saw one of his fellow Aesis worlder die. As he died in his arms, he asked him if he would return to Aesis and protect its citizens from similar fates that they had experienced.

He then took his gravity ship and decided to flee, hoping to return back, with some of his fellow Aesisians. During the hectic raid on an enemy kingdom, they fled from Midgard.
