Happy Moments with her Sisters

"What?" Ashley and Alissa spoke in unison. "

She laughed. "Something worthwhile than being a model."

The siblings' laughter filled the room.

"Oh, you should have been here when we were reading your message. The way you described all the heeled sandals like spiky shoes? Wearing it is like facing your last dinner?"

The three of them barked with laughter.

"I like these kinds of moments," she said, suddenly in a reflective mood. "Can we just talk to granny about how we feel?"

"That old woman is hard as a stone when she wants something," Alissa said bitterly. "What she did to me was like a nightmare. It's a good thing, and we have a good-looking well-known criminal lawyer here that helped me out."

"Yeah, that's a detailed description of the man you never stop chasing," bantered Ashley. Shaking her head. "You almost sound like you are the press relation officer of their associates' company."

"Oh, I've seen the man you're talking about," Angeline added. "We were on the same flight back here. Oh my, he looked haggard…."

"Finally, he's back from Spain…." Alissa sounds excited.

"Why? Something happened?"

"You didn't know," Ashley answered. "I am not sure, but what I heard first was he died from the explosion of his car. But the following day, everybody was amazed that he was alive. Even Alissa was not allowed to visit him. Only family member…."

"Nothing's new with that guy,' she commented with a shrug. "Every time he's in danger, he comes back alive," she said, laughing. "He could have vampire blood or what?"

"I never thought of that…." Alissa remarked."

"Hey, you two. Don't tell me you both believe in that nonsense."

Alissa glared at her. Angeline just laughed at them.

"But wait..." Ashley said. "Would you be willing to get married if that guy chose you?

"We have no option to decline," Alissa replied sadly. "But I hope that man has some consolation other than the primary heir of the entire empire of his grandmother Agatha. I searched online for what he looks like, but I got no information. There was nothing to be read about the guy, pretty vague, but super-wealthy

"You just want to have a shield for your handsome dream guy that you can't reach," Ashley suggested.

"Who?" She asked. Her eyes shifted to the two.

Alissa's eyes widened in the air. She wanted to reach her sister's long hair, but Ashley managed to keep her distance and continued.

"You do not know? That same invincible man we were talking about a while ago…" Ashley asked in astonishment.

"Ah... Can't blame you," Angeline commented. "I once had a crush on him. Who doesn't?"

"Good luck for the two of you-"

"Hey, that was a long time ago. I was over with Jacob. That man is blind. There's only one woman for him, and that's Michelle. But the feeling is one-sided. Michelle loves his best friend. That's what I heard from her lips."

"You heard that, Alissa. Better moved on."

"Let her be, Ashley," Angeline said. "Give her time. He's a good catch. His sister kept telling me before that he would be the heir of his grandmother's assets. A multi-billionaire, indeed. Michelle is a lucky woman."

"I didn't know that important information. Maybe I should start visiting Jacob's Nana..."

Angeline laughed. "You're crazy, Ash…."

Alissa stood up and walked out of her room. "Why can't she open her eyes? Let's say Jacob will take her, but she won't be happy. That guy is always going overseas. He's busy running his Nana's business and, at the same time, runs their law firm. And Stefanie, your former best friend, lives in Hong Kong. Your ex-boyfriend is from that country?"

"Your scoop is great, Ash…" she said.

"I just got it from TV watching him interviewed after that explosion that almost killed him, "she explained and sighed. "I'm also nervous about tomorrow…."

"Tomorrow... I will try to leave when the guests arrive. I will kill some time with my friends and come back at midnight."

"Grandma will scold you…."

"Whatever… I'll face it."

"Oh, my gosh. At least you are tougher than Alissa and me. You always oppose granny."

She sneezed first before laughing. "Grandma can't do anything either…."

"Except tomorrow… you might lose granny's inheritance…."

"That's up to her, and the same thing will happen when she finds out my situation."

"Please, don't. You saw what granny did to Alissa when she ran away. It was hard to find a job because grandma blocked everyone. Jacob was the only one who helped her. But I don't want that to happen to you. "

"Do not worry. Whatever I do, I can survive."

"As long as I don't know what you're planning to do," Ashley said, sadness mirrored in her eyes. "I'll miss you. Granny might even think that I came up with that idea."

Angeline laughed. I just winked at her before hugging her.

ANGELINE's steps were in a hurry as she sneaked out of the back door exit of the manor. She got out unnoticed with the help of their maid. She walked even faster when she spotted her motorcycle. She was ready with the key in her hand.

"Going somewhere?"

She stopped in her tracks. She heard that baritone voice, somewhat familiar to her. What the hell is wrong with me? She thought it was just her imagination playing tricks on her. She didn't even waste a moment looking back. She was thankful that she was wearing a black hoodie jacket to hide her face.

"Hey, don't ignore me," that same voice said. "I was asking you, the lady in black…."

That made her stop walking. She was sure this time that it was not her imagination. She felt that the owner of the voice was closed behind her.

Comfortably in a relaxed composure, she turned to the owner of that voice. She suddenly felt dryness in her throat. She struggled to look at the man in front of her. Unsmiling face gazing back at her. Imagination, indeed! She was cursing herself in her mind.
