Protecting Angeline

ANGELINE's eyes passed on her husband. His question took her by surprise. As far as he can remember, her husband did not want to talk about emotional stuff about feelings, but why is there anxiety in his eyes surveying her?

Was she reading him the wrong way? She wondered, eyeing him.

"Go back to sleep. You must be tired," Jacob stated.

"Okay, but what kind of question is that?" She asked, frowning. "How can I miss you when most of the day we've been together?"

Jacob gaped, but his unflinching gaze seemed to think of how to answer her.

"And why do you look at me like that?" Angeline asked.

"I was just thinking that you and I are like running in a circle."

"Everybody is... aren't you sleepy?" Her eyebrows creased. "You're acting odd."

"Changing the topic?" Jacob 

"No, but I'm confused. What exactly are you trying to emphasize?"

"You and I together are like there's a purpose...."
