THAT FEELING of being safe stayed with Angeline until she opened her eyes and discovered she was no longer snuggled with Jacob in front of the fireplace. She was in bed -alone. Shoving up on one elbow, she scanned her surroundings and realized she was upstairs in their bedroom.

Angeline remembered last night that they had both slept with Jacob on the steep cliff naked. She gathered all their scattered wet clothes beside them. She put on her wet clothes and decided to leave the place due to the heavy downpour, fearing that her husband might get sick. Then she hugged him, and they disappeared off the cliff. She moved around three times before she was able to appear in the hotel suite. And she took a quick bath before joining her husband.
