Chapter 2: Breakdown

David got home from work very tired and stressed out, he got into the bedroom and took his late-night bath, when he got out to lay down and sleep, he got a call, frustrated and tired, he didn't want to pick the call but it kept on ringing and ringing all over again.

"Hah for christ's sake can't someone just get some piece of rest at least once" David angrily said, picking the call.

"Hey buddy sorry for disturbing you this late just wanted to thank you for the huge favor you did for me," said Derek the caller.

"seriously and you couldn't wait till I got to work tomorrow evening," said David not believing what he is hearing.

"hahaha, you know me always active, said Derek.

Derek is David friend in his night job, besides his annoying attitude, you can say he does things at a fast pace he is one of the heroes in the New York heroes department(NYHD), which is of the tallest towers in New York City, each hero their power that contributes to the team, in the male log we have:ultrasound(super strength and flight), cypher (telepathy), terraformer(shapeshifter comet(super speed), nights elements), why in the female log we got, cloak(invisibility)siren(banshee)void(teleport)vixen(can create anything) and Sage(telekinesis) now back to the call.

Derek was out with his job when he was out saving the world, a nice guy right.

"yeah David do you still have those nice kicks, I was kind of wanting to borrow them," said Derek.

"What, you got a load of money you can buy your own," said David feeling sleepy.

"Please man I need it, I come over please man" pleaded Derek

"Nah ok come over," David said defeated.

"knock knock knock" someone was at the door

"give me a minute man," said David to Derek on the phone.

David got up and open the door and was shocked to see that Derek was already there with his nice clothes but no shoes on.

"oh I forgot, you got super speed, here are the shoes, "David said a bit surprised, giving him the shoes.

"Thanks, man you're a lifesaver," Derek said, happiness showing on his face.

taking the shoes he put them on and immediately ran off.

"Finally, some peace, "David said, jumping on his bed giving himself to the vast cool night of peace the morning David got ready and went to work, getting there he was doing his normal delivery and was getting good compliments from his boss and people he was delivering to, getting back from the 15th delivery, the boss said he should stay in for a second and rest, why resting he was serving customers because he was bored of sitting down, and at that moment a particular couple came in, and a girl came to them to ask for their order, surprisingly they ask for some of the high-priced food they got, which was surprising because actually, no one was that rich, and the boss was thinking of scrubbing that part of the menu off.

so serving them was David, and when he got to their table, he unconsciously drop the plates down shocking the couple from their passionate kiss, he was shocked because he recognize the pair sitting down together and he shouted"FELICIA, MICHAEL, WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE".
