Chapter 5: Awakening

David was madly in love in high school with Sheba, and now she was confessing her love to him, officially making it the best day of his life.

Now in the present, David and Sheba were couples, and they were madly in love with each other, and they do almost everything together, for the first time in David's life he has finally found true love.

on their way back from their date, David was having the time of his life, not knowing his life was about to change.

"babe I didn't want to tell you this, but it's getting too much, I have a stalker, well I won't say a stalker exactly, because he a rich guy, his name's Jason, he saw me working and asked me out but I rejected him saying I have a boyfriend, but he won't listen, he's always driving over when am done with my job, baby am scared," said Sheba a little worried about what he was going to do.

"don't worry babe, if that's the case, then I'm going to come to your job when I'm done with mine so we can both walk home," said David after thinking for a while.

"thank babe," said Sheba smiling

As if speaking of the devil, Jason rolled over with his car and stopped close to them, and got out of his car with two bodyguards he pointed at Sheba and said "get her"

"what are you doing, leave her alone" but the guards won't listen, one of the guards kicked David on the chest making him fall, but David wasn't going to go down easy, he got up and kicked one of the guard's leg making him fall on one knee and at that moment, he pulled Sheba away and ran with her, but they were trapped between the alleyway, but at that moment David saw staircase but the side of a building leading up, he took Sheba and ran up the stairs.

now they were way up, the guards follow them all the way, and behind them was Jason, "this is the end of the line guys, hey buddy, just give me the girl and I'll leave you alone to live your life" said Jason.

"not in a thousand, just leave us alone, and we would tell the cops about this"David threatened.

"uh, am so scared, hahaha, you think that's going stop me, I got the cops in my pocket boy, now damsel look like your boyfriend is being unreasonable, just come over here and I won't have to kill you both," said Jason grinning

"no, I'm not going anywhere," she said holding tightly to David's body.

"then you gave me no choice," said Jason pointing a gun at them

"wait," David said

he looked at Sheba and said"you have to go, I don't want you to die, don't worry I saw his plate number when you guys are a bit far, I'll report to the cops and find you, ok" but she won't listen but Jason bodyguard pulled her away and when she was close to Jason, Jason pointed the gun at David, "I thought you were smart but look like you are super stupid" said Jason laughing out loud.

pulling the trigger Jason Shoot David.

"NOOOOOO!!!!"Shouted Sheba.

David looked at her and smiled before falling from the edge, falling down David's thoughts.

"so this is the end huh, why was I so stupid to a truth someone like him, it's my fault, what going to happen to Sheba now"

with that, David closed his eyes but what happened next was unexpected.
