DAUGHTER OF HOUSE PERKINS

"AH," Eclaire said while looking at the cut on her finger. "Paper cut."

She was having tea in the garden while memorizing the names, faces, and family histories of the nobles in the royal capital. When she flipped the pages, the corner of the thick paper cut her finger. It was quite deep, hence the blood.

[Paper cuts always hurt so badly.]

Oh, well.

She was about to put her bleeding finger in her mouth to suck the blood when…

"Noona!" Rekker yelled, then he gently grabbed her wrist. "You're bleeding!"

"I know," Eclaire said, laughing. "I was just about to suck the blood."

Her brother looked horrified by that. "Noona, that's unhygienic."

She flinched. Of course, she knew it was unhygienic. But it was like a bad habit that was hard to break.

"You," Rekker said to one of her maids. "Call the physician."

Eclaire's eyes went wide. "Yah, I don't need a doctor for a small cut!"
