DEADLY SIBLING RIVALRY

GRAHAM, as soon as he entered his room in the palace, leaned against the door and collapsed.

Whew.

He just lied to the king, and he was amazed that he survived.

Fortunately, it looked like his father believed him when he said that the lady he admired was much more "valuable" than Lady Rosette.

He remembered his conversation with his father earlier…

["Father, the person I like is much more valuable than Lady Rosette."]

["The only woman around you who could have more value than Rosette Ashford is Eclaire Perkins– the Luna."]

Graham neither confirmed nor denied his father's speculation.

But since only Eclaire could be more "valuable" that Lady Rosette, he couldn't blame the king for thinking that way.

[I hate referring to Eclaire noona and Lady Rosette as if they were possessions which value depended on their usefulness to the royal family. It's wrong in every way. However, I have to speak the language that Father understands.]
