Chapter 19: WARNING
(June POV)
I walked down into a basement are that I had never explored before. "Is that.... A lab?" I said going to a white door. I open and see a white room full of lab and test equipment. I start walking through until I hear my uncle walk down with his phone. I hide under a table and listen to him.
"Yeah he's here.... No this wont affect any of our progress.... The experiments are going fine but the effect is still only temporary-.... Yes, I'll get to work on it.". I hear him say. 'What? Experiments? What's temporary?' I think once he leaves. I step out from my hiding place to see what else is there and accidentally knock over a vial. It was black and white with a water drop on it. "Oh shi-" I say.
I see it hit the ground and then some weird purple gas comes out and I cough. "What is this stuff?!" I yell. I then hear an alarm go off and a voice say "WARNING! WARNING! VIAL HAS BEEN BROKEN! PLEASE EXIT UNTIL CLEARED!".
I start running until all the power goes out. "FUCK!" I say trying to feel around. Suddenly my head starts hurting like crazy and I fall to the ground. "AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" I scream in pain. The pain goes away quickly and I look up. Unknown to me One of my eyes glows for a second and I look up to see a guard coming this way. I swing my fist to punch him but only his a wall.
"AH! Wait a minute." I say looking at the wall. "Okay.... I can see through the walls now.... This can help me." I say. The wall then goes solid again and I can't see. "WAIT! How do I do that again.... Maybe it's sound activated?". I whistle a little bit and I can see through the walls again. I start walking through slowly until I get outside and whatever I have stops.
"That must be what he meant when he said temporary. If power like that became permanent then a lot of people could get hurt! Perhaps I'll be able to find more of those throughout the house. My uncle isn't exactly the most organized person...." I said stretching my wings. I just now realize where I am.... "I'm outside!" I say flying up.
It's then that I see my final obstacle. Aiviation. "He's roosted. If I get too close he'll see me in a heartbeat! .... Maybe I can find a vial for camouflage? If dad knew about this there might be a chance that he has a few left in his study. I'll check there first!".

{Zira}
"Okay guys! This is the last cave on the map, so I'm really hoping that June was right!" Niki said happy. "Niki darling, I think that you are the only one of us who is actually excited for this." Zira said looking at everyone else. "I think-" "Carter you don't get to say shit! Your riding on her back like a koala so shut up!".
Carter pouts at her and then says "Niki, can she ride too?". Niki looks back while smiling and says "Maybe later on if she behaves~". Zira took a minute to process that and then proceeded to fly past them. She yelled behind her "Your gonna be sorry when we gwt back I swear!". To this Niki just responded "Punish me then mommy~". Zira dropped, and May and Carter were too busy laughing to death to help her.

They got to a large flat are on top of a mountain and inside they saw their goal: "There it is. The Staff of neutral." Carter said. He went inside to grab it, but right before he could an ivory colored staff with engravings at the end shaped like wolves landed in front on him. It then dispensed a black smoke that surrounded all of them. "ACE!". The smoke cleared and they saw Ace with a staff. "Wait what?! I thought there could only be one version of a-". Carter was interrupted when he heard his friends rush over.
"Guys?!" He said to turn around and see them run over. "Ace! How do you have a staff?!" Niki asked him. "Oh this? Allow me to show and tell!". He then ran up to Niki and attacked her with it in the throat. But instead of knocking her down the end of his weapon glowed white and he moved it away.
On the end of it a red and white orb the size of a marble appeared, and then wisped away. Niki then looked at him and yelled.... Nothing. No sound came out of her mouth except a slight whimper. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!?!?!?!" Zira yelled at him. "Meet my new friend, the Silent Woods staff of neutral! Opposite, of the staff of neutral!" He said using Niki's voice as a red and white mask appeared on his face.

{June}
June steps into an old dusty office that has paled over the years. Before he starts searching he picks up a photo with a five year old him, his mother, and his dad. He puts it in his pocket and then gets to work.

{Zira}
Carter is making a break for his weapon while the others one by one lose their voices. He just grabs the weapon when he feels a strong pain in his abdomen. He looks down to see the other half of Ace's weapons through his body. "Oops." He says returning all their voices. Carter slumps to the ground as he says "I missed.".
"CARTER!!!!!" They all say running over. Ace walks away with his weapon in hand as they weakly try to revive carter. "Nonononnononnononononnononnononononono!" May says turning a dark blue color. They then notice the staff next to him changing. One end of it turns into the head of a leopard and the rest turns black with a bunch of spots so dark it's like staring into the void.
They are all burst back including Ace who stops himself with his staff. They all look up to see Carter standing on his feet, the hole in him healing completely and him glaring at Ace. "YOU KILLED ME?!?!?!?!" He says furious. The cat end of his weapon glows black and creates what would be a black portal. "Oh I know what I am doing with this!".
He looks at Ace and says "Warning! Your enemy has revived to maximum health!". He jumps in the portal and appears behind Ace, and hits him on the shoulder. He appears next to the others and creates two more above and below him. He jumps in, gaining speed. And the moment he thinks he's safe, get knocked of the mountain.
Carter cools down, looks at his friends, and says "Woooooohooooo!!!! I got a special weapon baby!".
