Chapter 20: All Part Of The Experience
{Carter}
"HOW?!" He yelled looking at the ground. "He had to have something somewhere! He HAD to know! Otherwise what was the point of-" He stops as he see's a small chest under his desk. "What the?" He said pulling it out. He turned his sword into a dagger and popped it open. Inside he picked up a green vial with a scale on it. "Final-" He said being interrupted when a light blue hologram came from the chest.
"Hello? Hello is this thing on?" Said an all too familiar voice. "D- dad?!" He said looking up. His father looked like his uncle, except he was more bulky and toned, and had white hair that always looked like he'd been electrocuted. "Hi! If you're watching this then you must be a relative or family member! My brother and I have been working on something special to help those who needed temporary abilities." He said as June stood up and watched.
"We call them: Power Pots! .... Yeah I know. Not the best name but it sufficed. The latch on top will have a small hole. Take a whiff and you'll get a special power! These ones were meant for my son June, but I haven't been home a lot due to work.... Tell you what, In the box is a watch with different locations. It also serves as a compass and communicator. Bring them to my son, and if you need to, use the vial. But be warned. This one is a Huntsman spider, so pick it for when the time requires it!".
The message turned off and wiped the tears from his eyes. "Th- thanks dad! I'll go see what you left for me.".

{Carter}
"Trust me, this will work!" Carter said as they all see him open a portal. "If this is done right, it will take us to the border of the land of Wings in no time!" He says as they look inside. ".... You sure this won't rip us apart?" May says to him. "Ladies, ladies. I got this, so step right into the land of wings.". They all go through the portal and appear at a town.
"Wow Carter.... This is pretty spot on.... To...." Zira says as she looks. "CARTER?! This is my actual fucking home! How did we get here?! We are supposed to be at the border!". Carter looks around and says "Guess my math was-" "ZIRA!". They all turn to see the one they were meant to meet. June's mother. "Where's my son?!" She says glaring at them. "Hold on! We'll explain later but right now we are all exhausted. So do you think you couldn't, oh I don't know, NOT YELL AT US?!".
Zira says this while spreading out her wings. "Alright, but come on!" She says pulling them inside.

"Sorry for the mess. I didn't expect any visitors besides my son or the police." She said. "All part of the experience." May said. "Now then, where's June? Shouldn't he be with you?" She asked as they all sit down. "Not quite. We saw him get kidnapped by this giant bird thing-" She then held up her hand and says "Aiviation.... That boy still has loyalty issues. If I had to guess my son has been captured by his Uncle.".
Zira smiles saying "We were hoping you could take us there so we could save him.". His mother sighs and walks away. She comes back with a briefcase and says "Let's go save that idiot.".

{June}
June was looking at the side of a mountain and said "Come on pops where is this thing?". He looks up to see a weird looking branch. On closer inspection he sees a poorly camouflaged vial. Another hologram appears and his dad speaks.
"Good job June! This one is a Jaguar!". The feed then shows something else. "June. JUNE! If this is you then be careful! If you take too many at once your body won't handle the effects. I-... I might not get home safe. Axel has been super invested. So much so he's been caught stealing my work! I'm hopeful you'll never see this.... I've told your mother to send her and you away for safety reasons, but please.... Don't go into something you can't handle.".
June stood there puzzled and sat on a ledge. "WHAT?! My uncle stole dads work?! Why? What would he want to use it for?" June asked himself. He looked on the watch and saw there were two left. "Maybe these two will shed some light....".

Once he gets to a more sandy area he recognizes the scenery, picking up a diamond covered vial. Triggering the hologram. "Hey! Remember this place June? We used to play here... All the time! You were always so bright in this dark place. Oh! Guess what? I'm going to be going on a business trip. Your uncle found someone who's willing to give my work a go! It.... Will be in scales so far from home, but don't worry. And hey, if your here then that means one left! Go on my lightstar!".
He nearly cried at the sound of his old nickname. "Hold on.... Isn't scales where he died? Where he was attacked?! Unless.... No.... he wouldn't....".

It took hours of searching but at the back of his uncles office he saw a red vial. He tapped on it activating the message. "JUNE?! I'm so, so sorry. Axel set me up.... Right now he probably sees me as a body in a coffin. Turns out, he wanted me dead. Or at least that's what I thought. Maybe you can figure it out! One of my coworkers got killed instead. The guy thought the murder was complete. It's safe to say I can't support you anymore. But if you can get to my office, you'll find a formula. Do your nerd thing and make it work. PS: I might not make it out alive. Good luck Lightstar!".
June was shook. "So.... He attempted to kill you huh? Time I returned the favor!".

They got to the front door only to be stopped by Aiviation. He was about to peck at them until Junes mother shouted "A! What the fuck do you think you're doing?!". He then immediately backs up whining. "Where the fuck is he?! NOW! Unless you want me to go over there and pluck out your feathers!". He pointed his beak towards the house and she said "Now off you go! Get away from this man for a while!". He flew off and they all stared in astonishment.
"How did you-" Zira said. "I raised that bird from a chick. If he doesn't listen to me then I treat him like I treat June. You can cry like a little girl, run like a slave, but when I catch that ass boy you gonna behave!". She then walked through and went to look for a target her and her son both shared: Axel Nightingale.
