Ch. 11 Flaxan Abduction

After talking with Debbie, Mark went to see the old woman he brought to this place. Mark knew that if he hadn't picked her up she would have died. But because he did, she is forced to suffer such extreme injuries.

Mark remembers the way Jay used to visit the hospitals. He would spend his time at school, training, saving people, or checking up on the people he saved. Mark remembers how much he wanted to do exactly that. Being able to see the face of the people he saved with his own hands.

And that's when he makes it to the old woman's room. She looks exactly like when she was brought in. Just with her limbs straight and an oxygen mask on her face. Mark doesn't want to think about how they got the yolk back inside Humpty Dumpty.

It reminds Mark that Viltrumites heal faster than humans. Something he had forgotten. Even when he himself heals faster.

Beside the woman is a male nurse looking at the reading on his datapad.

Mark walks into the room and goes near the woman's bed. "Is uh… She ok?"

The doctor looks up from his datapad and looks at the young man infront of him. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "Her name is Maya" The doctor says and looos at the old woman they were barely able to keep alive. That's if you can call her state alive. She may never walk again. And over 60% of her nerves had been severed. She might be able to move her right arm in the future. But she may not be able to feel anything. And her other three limbs…. They may just be there for show at this point.

Mark looks at the monitors and then to the nurse who stands up. "Doesn't she have any family?"

"We've contacted them, yes. But this is a secure facility" The nurse places his datapad into a device behind him. "She's not strong enough for us to transfer her to a normal hospital"

Mark feels his stomach drop as he imagines how Debbie would have felt if she wasn't allowed to see Nolan. "But… s-she'll be ok"

The nurse walks around the bed and placed a hand on Marks shoulder. "Well it's too soon to tell but… I hope so"

Mark frustratedly looks at the tiled floor the. To the beeping machine which displays her vitals.

Jay is back on the opposite side of the planet.

He is currently underground and destroying little mole like people that are way bigger and stronger than they have any right to be.

"Why can't you guys just talk this out!" Jay yells as he punches one 15 foot tall Subterranean backwards and into 5 more equally as tall Subterraneans.

They're voice is deep, echoey, and gravelly. "We wanted the ones above to stop mining down~! And now~. We want them to come down~! So we started mining up~!"

Jay floats in the air as many other large Subterraneans begin to come from various other tunnels. One makes the 15 foot one look like his calf. "Guess I'm missing my time with Suzu then"

Jay then begins his attack on the Subterraneans.

Rex walks into the main room of Teen Teams HQ. He doesn't have his shirt on and the pants of his hero suit are unzipped and unbuttoned. "Whoooo!" He sighs before drinking from a milk cartoon.

The tachyon device begins beeping and has a red dot glowing on its screen. And then it begins beeping much more rapidly.

Rex finishes drinking from the carton and whipped his mouth. He then walks over toward the screen. "Is~ this supposed to be doing that?" He asks back into the room he just came from.

"Huh?"

Mark is at school and sitting at a table for lunch across from William. He raises his hands in the air above his head. "Ugh! We're. Just. Friends!" He lowers his arms back to the table and stabs a meatball with his fork.

William moves his meatball in the air. "Will you stop saying that?" He points his fork at Mark. "It's like you're trying to jinx ANY chance you have of dating Eve"

Mark puts his fork down and points his finger at William. "A day ago you said I had NO chance" He then rests his hand on the table as he leans forward with a brow raised.

William moves his fork to point behind him. "That was BEFORE everyone saw you leave school with her yesterday"

Mark looks to the side. Then his expression changes to a curious one as he leans forward. "Everyone saw that?" He quickly asks.

William smugly nods.

Mark swipes his right hand from the left to the right through the air. "It doesn't matter. She already has a boyfriend" Mark looks to the cafeteria wall.

"So!" William exclaims after eating the meatball on his fork. "You can be more awesome than him and TAKE his place. That's how dating works. Since she's already dating a guy, you don't have to compete with every other guy in the city. Just with the guy she is dating" William points out. "And once you do, you just have to stay awesome and not let anyone take YOUR place. King of the Hill style"

Mark looks over Williams shoulder and sees Eve sitting and looking at her phone.

"It's how it works. And why are you so intimidated by her?" William continues.

Eve smiles at her phone. But it quickly goes away as she immediately scans the cafeteria until she sees Mark and motions with her head to leave.

"Other than she is amazing and you're kinda basic" William finishes.

Mark gets kinda offended. "Thanks for that William" He stands up. "I gotta go" He begins walking towards the exit where Eve is already walking through.

"Go~? Go where?!" William asks with his arms out. "You know what?" He says as Mark already leaves. William shoo's Mark away. "I don't care" He then forks one of Marks meatballs and bites it. "It's probably somewhere you'll be ALONE~ FOREVER~"

Just as William finishes his sentence and eats the rest of the meatball Amber sits down where Mark just got up from.

"Is Mark dating Eve Wilkins?" She immediately and flatly asks.

William doesn't move his head but looks at Amber with his eyes. "Hah! I wish"

Amber narrows her eyes at William. Clearly not amused by what he just said.

"I-I mean no! Definitely, NOT. She's got a boyfriend" William puts his fork down and points his index fingers at Amber. "He is SUPER available" He reaches below the table and into his backpack for a pencil. "Want his number?" William pulls out a mechanical pencil and clicks it a few times. "I'll write it down for you" He smoothly says.

Atom Eve and Invincible begin flying to the city and quickly descend onto the roof of a building.

Rex Splode looks at them as they land. "Uuuuuggghhh! Where are YOU guys coming from?" He asks with his arms crossed across his chest.

Eve and Mark walk towards Rex Splode.

"Uhm, we go to the same high school, Rex" She states.

"Ohhh. You do, do you?" He cynically asks.

"Ummm. Yeah. We do" Mark says.

"Must be nice! You know who never got to go to high school? Me" Rex points at himself with his thumb.

Eve walks up to him. "We know" She looks directly into his eyes. "It shows"

At the edge of the roof Robot and Dupli-Kate are looking at the streets below.

"I'd appreciate everyone's attention on the matter at hand" Robot states.

Screams and explosions can be heard from below.

"Guess who's back" Dupli-Kate says.

In the streets below them are the Flaxans flooding out of the portals again. But this time, they don't seem to be getting old at all. Not even a hint of them slowing down.

Soldiers, tanks, and special looking devices exit the portal and begin spreading out.

From the main portal comes a Flaxan wearing a red cape. His face has a vertical scar over his right eye and a metal device on its right temple where one of its antennas used to be but was knocked off by Mark in the previous battle. He doesn't look as grey and old as he did in the past and has regained his puke green color back. He growls as he steps back onto the battlefield he was forced to flee from last time. "Prataso" He touches the metal device. Then he points forward. "Zu it amueey!"

Lasers start to fly from the soldiers rifles and the tanks barrels. People begin to get mowed down. Cars explode. Chaos begins to erupt once again.

Rex Splode points down at the alien invaders. "They're not getting old!" He looks at Robot. "Why aren't they getting old Robot?! Why aren't they getting old?!"

Robot scans the street below. "They seem to have discovered a way to resist our time stream"

Rex holds up three fingers. "In 3 days!!?"

"3 days for us. Decades for them" Robot says as he walks forward.

"Pfft! Who cares? I bet their bones still break" Dupli-Kate states.

Robots hover-cycle flies next to the roof and he jumps in. Followed by Rex and Kate.

"So do ours!" Rex points out.

Eve and Mark stay on the edge of the roof as the others fly towards the Flaxans.

Eve looks at Mark. "Ready for this?"

Mark uncertainly looks back at her. "Yeah…I think so"

They both jump and fly towards the green invaders. The Flaxans open fire on the descending heroes.

Robot flies near the ground and lets Rex and Kate jump off as he takes off back into the air and begins opening fire on them.

As Rex and Kate begin running forwards a tank fires at them and explodes the street directly behind them. It barely misses them, but they get sent flying forward due to the blast.

"Oodep mudiah!" The red caped Flaxan commands as blue rectangular metal boxes get moved to the front lines.

Once set down. The boxes open up to reveal that they are stationary turrets. And they don't just fire one laser at a time. It's a steady laser beam that follows their target.

Kate finds this out first hand as she duplicates herself many times to avoid the laser beam that destroys her duplicates instantly.

Rex comes in and throws his bombs at the line of turrets. He destroys a good portion of them with the first throw and throws the other bombshell in his other hand.

But as the glowing explosive balls fly in the air, the Flaxans fire a repulor that send the explosives back at Rex.

"Hey! Don't do that!" Rex shouts as he runs away but gets flung away by the explosives. "Ahhhh!" He shouts.

Robot has two compartments open up on his back as he flies over the Flaxans on his hover-cycle. From the compartment, tiny rockets fly out and explode the Flaxan soldiers and a few tanks.

The red capes Flaxan watched the robot. "Zu eet Kamuee!" He points for a tank to fire at the robot.

The tank fires. But it's not a laser. It's a triangle shaped projectile. And once it gets close to Robot it breaks apart into four flat triangles that seek out Robot and his hover-cycle and shock them both. Only one lands on Robot but it's enough.

The hover-cycle crashes down and takes a few Flaxans with it in an explosion as Robot falls with a heavy clank and thud.

Eve moves in front of a group of escaping citizens before more can get eviscerated.

She lands and puts up two pink barriers. "RUN!" She shouts to the people that were frozen in fear or shock. They quickly scramble and attempt to flee.

Eve gets bombarded by the fire of hundreds of laser rifles and 5 tanks firing upon her. The pink shields begin cracking until the one on her left breaks. She swiftly moves the right shield to the center.

Unfortunately it shatters in the next second.

"Urrraaaahhhhh!" Eve shouts as she slams the ground with her palms as a pink wave shoots forth. It knocks back the Flaxan soldiers and even causes the tanks to explode.

That took a lot of her energy so she tries to catch her breath. But out from the smoke come white balls that fly through the air towards her.

Eve coats her hands on her pink energy and begins punching the things out of the air. She doesn't know what they do. But she would rather not find out.

After smacking 4 out of the air she throws a blast at the last one and causes it to explode. But through that explosions comes another one. And as it gets close to her it opens up and attaches to her face. Reminiscent of how she trapped two Flaxans in a pink bubble around their head.

Eve is knocked to the ground and pries at the thing on her face to no avail.

Mark flies down and does a superhero landing into the ground which throws many Flaxans away by the shockwave alone.

But he isn't given a chance as 5 tanks send laser beams at him that don't stop. Mark gets overwhelmed and can only hold his ground.

The caped Flaxan chuckles and points at Mark. "Zo pak muey"

Three Flaxans with unique looking rifles run at Invincible.

The lasers stop bombarding Mark and he looks at the soldiers who appeared. The soldiers fire at Mark and before he can move he is coated and flung back against an enemy tank.

He is coated by some sticky substance. It's hard enough for him to be held in place. But sticky and soft enough for him not to be able to get out or break it.

The scarred Flaxan confidently walks up to Mark. "Hehehehe"

Mark gives up on trying to escape and looks around him.

Dupli-Kate gets killed as soon as she duplicates. Rex continuously explodes and gets sent flying as he runs. Robot is getting curb-stompped and electrocuted. And Eve is still attempting to free her face.

Robot gets smacked by the butt of a rifle. "They seem-" He gets kicked. "- to have spent their time wisely" He gets knocked onto his stomach.

The device on Eve's face begins to shock her.

"Eve!" Mark shouts and tries to escape.

The caped Flaxan smiles dangerously and looks between Mark and Eve. He then goes to the orange haired girl and grabs her by her hair and forces her up. He then points his laser pistol at Eves neck and head.

"No! No don't!" Mark shouts.

Eve grabs the pistol and the Flaxans hand but is too weak to push him away.

"Az mo otemo!" The Flaxan says and smiles as he looks at Mark.

"I SAID NO!" Mark shouts as he stands up and sends everything around him flying by the pressure alone. Then he charges forth and close lines Flaxans in his way as he charges at the caped Flaxan.

"Exmo ortenfo" The scarred Flaxan states as he watches Invincible charge towards him. He fires his pistol at Mark but it's useless.

Mark tackles this Flaxan into a wall and begins punching the hell out of his face after he rips its chest piece off.

"Invincible!" Robot calls out.

This snaps Mark out of his rage and he flies over to Eve and rips the ball off her face.

Eve gasps for air as she can finally breath. She lays on her back weakly as she looks up at Mark.

"You ok?" Mark asks.

Eve sits up as she breathes and nods.

Rex and Kate run over to Robot.

The Flaxans in the immediate area are dead or unconscious thanks to Marks outburst.

The caped Flaxan stands up but a device on his wrist explodes and he begins to age again.

The sound of something flying closer to them can be heard. In the next second a person is flying above them dripping water off of their superhero suit and slicked back hair.

"Really? You made the device that would stop your aging a bracelet? You can do better than that" The new arrival states. It's Jay and he just got back after a call from Cecil and a quick dip in the ocean to get the dirt off of him.

Robot scans the now rapidly aging Flaxan. Rex explodes the electrocution device on Robots back. "The wristbands protect them from our time stream! Destroy their wristbands!" Robot states.

"What?!" Rex exclaims. "All of them?!"

"Killing them works the same!" Eternal shouts as he lands on the ground and slams his palms together causing a shockwave outwards and throws Flaxans backwards into the air.

The others all charge forth and begin their second attack, now knowing their enemies weakness.

Robot picks up a device and scans it as the others focus on killing the enemies. Rex is able to knock them to the ground and Eve is able to accurately destroy their wrist bands.

Mark makes a good distraction as Flaxans try to swarm him or shoot him.

Jay is flying through them and mostly breaking their bones through blunt force trauma. It's a weird feeling to describe when a person flies into an object at high speeds and that object ends up breaking internally with a few cracks and snaps.

Robot finishes analyzing and stands up. "49,000 kilohertz" He does something with his finger in his neck. He finishes but gets tackled. "Keep them off of me"

Jay flies over and punches the two Flaxans on Robot. "On it"

Robot then emits a sound wave that destroys the wristbands of the Flaxans.

"Gah!" Jay grabs his ears as the frequency bounces inside his eardrums. He stumbles back a few steps.

The Flaxans all look at their wrist bands as they short circuit and they begin to age again.

The scarred Flaxan, along with the others begin to flee back to the portals. But the caped Flaxan turns around and sees Eternal holding his ears. "Zo ekt muey!" He commands. 5 Flaxans that are rapidly aging aim their rifles at Jay who, even after the frequency is stopped, struggling with the pain in his ears.

These devices shoot out the same weird solid-liquid substance that was able to hold Mark. But these had a wire that wrapped around Jay and shocked him.

The Flaxans then walked through the portal with the rifles and the scarred Flaxan grins as he also enters the portal. "La tee moeyy!"

The rope tries to pull Jay but he resists and dogs his heels into the ground.

"Eternal" Robot calls out as everyone runs to help Jay.

But just then Jay is jerked closer to the portal.

"Hyah!" Eve tries to sever the cable and weird substance but it's unaffected.

"Take this!" Rex shouts as he throws bombs at it. But they don't do anything either.

Jay looks up at Mark who is about to touch the wires. "Don't!" He shouts and kicks Mark back.

And with that Jay quickly gets pulled through the portal which closes soon after.

Mark gets sent back through a building and groans as he holds his stomach from the kick. He pulls himself up and looks at where the portal closes.

Everyone is left stunned and looks at where Eternal disappeared.

Mark recovers and quickly flies back to the open street where the portal was. "Jay!" He frantically looks around for any evidence that there's another portal, or it's just a really bad prank. "Ah..ju- wh- Damn it!" Mark punches the street and the pressure forces Teen Team to brace themselves to not get sent flying.

Eve walks up to Mark and puts a hand on his shoulder. "Mark…."

"Ok! What do we do now?!" Rex shouts

Robot and Dupli-Kate 1 and 2 stand at the back not saying anything.

"I have good and bad news. Good news, Eternal should be fine on the other side. His tachyons move slower than the ones in their dimension. It's hard to say exactly what he will experience, but he should be relatively fine age wise. But the bad news is that we have no way of reaching or contacting him now that he is on their side" Robot states.

"Well how do we reach them or contact him!?" Mark asks.

"Woah, calm down dude. It's Eternal, he can find a way on his own" Rex says. "There's no way he will go down. Just look at how he kicked you…at the…. I'll shut up now" Rex stops talking as everyone sends a glare at him. He especially didn't like the one Mark sent him. Even more so after Mark's little show of power.

Robot steps forward. "I'm afraid there isn't anything we can do. We can only wait until the next time the Flaxans come back. Or there's a chance they might n-"

"So we can only wait!? Th-" Mark shouts but gets interrupted by his phone ringing. He looks at who it is and sees that it's his mom.

Mark feels dread wash over him. He answers the phone. "I gotta go" He says like he is not fully there.

"Wait, now you're just lea-" Rex complains. "And there he goes!"

Mark flies away and leaves Teen Team watching him fly.

Cecil gets a call. "What is it? It better be some fucking good news for a change"

"Sir. It's about the latest battle. The Flaxans were successfully defeated by Teen Team and Eternal" The voice on the phone says.

"Ok. That's a start. But what else?" Cecil leans back in his chair at his desk.

The voice pauses for a second. "Sir. It's about-"
