Chapter 6: The Alternate World [Part 3]

"So, how's life?"

"Good, thanks. I see you found me quite quickly, huh?"

"Yeah. I have a question."

"What is it?"

"Where is Rey?"

"Who's that?"

"My opponent in the first round."

"Oh, Reynold. He's not here yet."

"Huh?"

"He'll be here in the upcoming selection.

"The selection is an event where the world powers choose candidates from the new students to join them."

"Then, shouldn't I be there?"

"You should."

"How do I get there?"

"There's a specific area in the world governing council's domain where it happens. I'll take you a little in advance so you can join the rest."

"Aren't you worried about what would happen if I joined some other faction?"

"A little."

"I thought you said you were afraid of me?"

"I know that if I fight you, I'll end up with at least severe injuries. However, that doesn't mean I can't beat you.

Know this. In the real world, I would have been cautious against you because of your ability to cripple me. However, here, I can simply heal myself after killing you. You can't beat me here."

"It seems like you think you can beat me. Prove it."

"That's a pretty arrogant attitude. Fine, Just make sure you don't die. If you do, you won't die in the real world, but I will have to expel you."

"Let's just start already."

"Okay. Follow me."

"We're here."

"So this is where we'll fight."

The principal, or the queen, took me to an area in the wilderness behind the castle.

"So, principal, since you believe that you're stronger than me, and I want to prove you wrong, I won't use any skills."

'Supercomputer, sit this one out.'

[Understood.]

"Come on, that's outright underestimating me. Just make sure you don't regret it."

The fight started.

(POV shift: 3rd person)

The fight started. The queen instantly burst forward to Kirihara.

'She's fast!'

Kirihara barely dodged the hit.

"That wasn't even my fastest speed, and you're struggling?"

"I'll admit, I did underestimate you quite a bit."

The queen launched a flurry of attacks toward Kirihara.

'These attacks are really fast!'

Kirihara started blocking the blows instead of dodging.

'The strength behind her punches is ridiculous!'

"Not gonna break, huh? In that case…

"I just have to fight harder!"

The already fast and strong punches got even faster and stronger.

At this point, Kirihara looked as if he was being completely suppressed.

"Hey. Why are you holding back?"

"..."

"You've just been sitting there eating my punches the whole time. I know that you are a lot stronger than this. I saw you in the fight against Shion. You are way stronger than this."

"...I forgot."

"What?"

The attacks stopped, but Kirihara still had his arms up as if he was blocking more blows.

"I forgot that supercomputer controls my aura."

At the moment he said that, an aura burst out of his body.

"Wha-"

The queen slammed in the floor as if she was kneeling to something.

'This pressure… it's too much! How could one person…'

'Oh my god. Those eyes… it's those eyes again! Those horrible glowing red eyes! Whenever his eyes turn red, I can feel instinctual fear! As if my very baseline as a human being knows that I will die, and there's nothing I can do about it!'

"AHHH!"

The queen suddenly screamed.

'My bones! My bones are being crushed by the pressure!'

"Stop! Stop! I give up! You win!"

"It's about time."

'Supercomputer.'

[Reactivating aura suppression.]

The insanely powerful aura that leaked from Kirihara disappeared as if it never existed.

"That was one percent of my aura."

"One percent!?"

"I can suppress most of my aura on my own. However, supercomputer suppresses the other little bit. If it doesn't, and I have to do it, I have to concentrate."

"How the hell do you have that much aura? No, wait. First, what's supercomputer?"

"It's my skill. I'm not saying more than that."

"How do you have so much power?"

"..."

"Not gonna tell me that either?"

"No."

"Damn. It's my complete loss."

(POV switch to Kirihara)

It's been some time since I fought the principal. 3 days to be exact.

During that time, I've been in the castle doing nothing. The principal asked why I was staying, but after realizing that since I just came in, I don't have anywhere to go, she caved and let me stay.

[Master, why did you lie to her?]

'Hm?'

[You told her that that power you released was one percent, when in reality, it was such a small amount of power that it can't even be described as infinitesimal.

You also told her that you can only suppress 99% of your power, and to suppress the other one percent without having to concentrate, you need my help, when in reality, you can do it all by yourself.]

'Use [Information Regulation] and [Analysis] to see the future. You will understand. Also, you've never called me out for doing something before. What caused that change?'

[I just thought that it wasn't the best idea to lie to your benefactor. However, seeing the future, I see why you did it.

'Of course.'

"So, Kirihara, do you know where to go?"

"Yeah."

We decided that I was going to go to the selection area today. I need to be there just to follow normal procedures. And, of course, I like causing commotions. So, I'll be arriving at the area where the rest of the candidates that came with me are going to be teleported to at the exact time that they will be teleported.

"It's time for you to leave now. I've overseen the process for years before becoming the principal, so I remember the timings."

"Okay, I'll get going then."

"Same here. I have to be there for formalities too. So Kirihara, will you be joining me?"

"Really? After all I said about being unaffiliated?"

"I just wanted to try my luck. If I could get you, I'd willingly let go of all my other subordinates."

"You really believe in my strength, huh?"

"I've experienced it myself. In fact, it was only one percent. If that's the case, than there should be few in the world more powerful than you."

"Few?"

"There are some really crazy people over here, okay? I would never even dream of challenging them, lest I lose everything."

"Interesting."

"Don't you dare think of challenging them. It won't go as planned."

"Really? We'll have to see."

"Please don't do it."

"Saying please out of the blue is a dirty trick. Fine, I'll be cautious."

"Okay then, see you later."

"Yeah, see you."

With that, I left the castle and set on my way to the center of the world.

(POV Change: 3rd person)

'Instead of just teleporting to the center using [Supercomputer], I would rather explore a little first. It never hurts to see some interesting stuff.'

"Hey, let go of me!"

'Is that Loa? Did something happen?'

Kirihara decided to go take a look.

"Stop! I don't want to go!"

"Cmon, don't be like that."

Loa was surrounded by a group of men. They wanted some unknown thinking from her, and she seemingly didn't want whatever they wanted.

Meanwhile, Kirihara was watching from a nearby rooftop.

'She's still not listing to her new dad, huh.'

The expression on Kirihara's face wasn't worry, disappointment, sadness, or even ridicule.

On his face was…

Emotionlessness.

'She needs to see for herself why it's important to listen to your caretaker.'

A terrifying look of emotionlessness.

"Excuse me, are they bothering you?"

A young man, around my age, interjected.

"Huh? Who are you?"

Of course, the big men didn't take too kindly to it.

"Just a kid."

"Really? Then why don't you butt out of our business, kid?"

"Sorry, but I don't think that lady over there likes your so-called "business"."

"You…"

At this point, the man conversing with the kid had enough.

"Get over here! I'll teach you a lesson."

Just like that, a fight broke out between the two parties. On one side, a group of 5 big men, and on the other side, a lone kid. It's pretty easy to tell who would win.

However, contrary to all expectations, the kid ended the whole fight with a single swipe of his hand.

With that one move, all five of the big men were swept into the wall.

"Excuse me, are you okay?"

The kid then spoke to Loa, who was frozen in terror yet also relieved.

"Y-yes, I believe so. Thank you."

"No problem."

The kid walked to the waitress at the counter and dropped a bag of silver.

"Here is some money to repay the damages."

"Yes, thank you."

The waitress was strangely collected, seeing all that just happened.

"I'll be leaving now."

This simple bar fight would become the first appearance of the world's Hero of Justice, Su Han.

Meanwhile, Kirihara, still watching from the rooftop with the same heart-shaking emotionlessness he had before, sighed.

'Typical fantasy development. A bit too cliché for my tastes.'
