Jayce spent the next few school days doing his workout regimen and training with Bella afterward.
It was now Friday, and students had the weekend off from school but could still attend classes, but Jayce thought that it was a waste of time.
Getting stronger was the only occurring thought that would pass through his mind.
Jayce would usually walk with Yuko to class but she said she had something else planned. Walking up the stairs, three students blocked his way into the building.
These three were of course Isaac and his two goons, Jayce tried to walk past them but blocked his path again.
"Jayce you're coming with me," Isaac said with an evil grin.
"And if I say no," Jayce stated with an unbothered expression
Seeing that Jayce was not being compliant, Isaac nodded to the giant on his right.
Taking the hint he walked over to Jayce and put his arm on his shoulder, gripping as hard as he could.
"You don't have a choice in the matter." The student responded with a raspy voice.
Jayce could feel the grip getting stronger, but it wasn't doing any damage with his current stats but leaving wrinkles in his uniform.
'I don't have time for this.'
Grabbing the massive hand on his shoulder, Jayce easily pulled it off and gave it a little twist. The giant screamed as his wrist was twisted in the complete opposite direction.
" AHHHH, You fucker!" Fueled by rage and pain, he threw his other fist at Jayce's face.
Seeing the attack before he even swung due to his skill, Jayce side-stepped the attack and hit his elbow with an open palm.
The sound of the giant's elbow snapping was heard throughout the campus, tears and snot ran down his face as he fell to the floor.
Jayce crouched down next to the giant, grabbing his hair he looked at him straight in the eyes, completely unaffected that he had just broken his elbow.
"Remember this the next time you decide to get in my way."
Letting go of him, Jayce began to make his way to class before a voice called out to him.
"I challenge you to a duel!" Isaac screamed, he was angry that his servant failed to stop him but also got himself hurt in the process.
He had heard rumors of his physical strength being inhuman but not enough to easily overpower his servant.
"Why should I?" Jayce said with an irritated tone, he was getting tired of being stopped.
"If you win I'll give you a hundred gold coins."
Students started to whisper when they heard the amount he offered.
"That much money just for a duel."
"If I had that much money I would live the rest of my life surrounded by women."
"He would be a fool to refuse it."
"But boss, the Guild gave that money to finance your time at the academy." Isaac's other subordinate voiced out in worry.
"Shut the hell up sasquatch! If you and your brother did your job right I wouldn't have to do this." Veins appeared on Isaac's face as he hit the giant in the gut.
Sasquatch fell to his knees holding his stomach in pain. Jayce stopped in his tracks when he heard how much money he was offering.
Even though he didn't know how much it was exactly, hearing the reactions from the nearby students and Isaac's goon informed him that it was a lot.
'I do need the money for going into town and it never hurts to have some on hand.' Jayce thought as he decided to take the duel.
"I accept your challenge," Jayce said with a smirk.
"We will hold the duel after school at the training grounds, don't be late."
With the place and time decided, Jayce walked away as Isaac had menacing thoughts.
'You idiot, the second you accepted you sealed your fate. I will thoroughly and utterly destroy you. And Yuko will be all mine.'
Any time he tried to get close to Yuko, she would use Jayce as an excuse or he would block him from making advances on her.
Isaac started having lewd thoughts about Yuko, how he would ravage her and take her innocence.
With the backing of his guild and Jayce out of the picture, there was no one to stop him.
Jayce finished his workout as he racked the 165 lbs (75 kg) bar. Seeing his daily quest was complete, he went to check his stats.
[Stats]
[HP: 210/210 -> 230/230]
[Mana: 0/0]
[Stamina: 185/220 -> 185/240]
[Vitality: 16 -> 18]
[Endurance: 17 -> 19]
[Strength: 15 -> 18]
[Dexterity: 13 -> 15]
[Agility: 16 -> 18]
[Intelligence: 13 -> 16]
[Charisma: 12]
[Avalible Stat Points: 10]
Looking at his stats, Jayce was satisfied. He did notice that his endurance and vitality were growing slower compared to when he started training.
'It will probably start slowing down dramatically once I hit around the 20 mark and working out will barely give me stats directly.'
'I can still gain stat points through the daily quest but that's about it.'
"I see you finished your warm-up already." Bella was unbothered as she was already used to Jayce's crazy progress.
"Ms. Bella, how much are 100 gold coins in US currency?" Jayce was still curious about how much Isaac bet on their fight.
"I told you just to call me Bella. If you don't I just might have to increase your training by another level due to disobedience." Bella said with a malicious grin.
Bella's smile sent shivers down Jayce's spine, the "training" he was receiving now was just her beating him relentlessly until he couldn't move anymore.
"Yes Bella, so how much is a gold coin," Jayce stated while avoiding eye contact.
"If I remember correctly, one gold coin is equivalent to around a million US dollars." Bella vaguely responded while holding her finger on her chin.
Jayce froze up upon hearing the amount of money, clearly remembering Isaac putting down 100 gold coins.
'Did he really put down that money just to get Yuko?' Jayce had assumed it had something to do with Yuko but he couldn't believe he used 100 million dollars just to get his attention.
Even though Jayce had an expressionless face, Bella could feel him going through different emotions.
"Jay, what trouble did you get yourself into this time?" Bella questioned out of concern.
"A student challenged me to a duel, wagering 100 gold coins. I think his name was Elijah, no maybe it was Isaiah."
Jayce for some reason couldn't remember his name even with his intelligence increased.
Bella facepalmed at the stupidity of someone putting that much money just for a duel.
She wasn't worried for his safety since she knew Jayce wouldn't lose to any of the students except against Yuko.
"So when is the duel," Bella asked with curiosity plastered on her face.
"It's after school in the training grounds. Oh yeah, I should probably ask, what's the difference between a duel and a spar?"
