Jayce was surprised at the quality of the armor. Not only was the rarity the same as his gauntlets, but each piece had its unique skill.

The only downside he noticed was that it had to be all worn for him to receive the bonus and use the skill, and obviously, they were all cursed.

"Ya not thinking about wearing that armor are ya?" The dwarf asked with a raised eyebrow at Jayce.

"Not now," Jayce replied as he held his side where he was stabbed. Although the wound was closed from the potions, he was still suffering from the injuries.

Trying to tackle a curse in his current state would just be suicidal. Opening his menu, he glanced at his current condition.

[HP: 82/250]

[Stamina: 57/250]

Since he had drunk two health potions, that meant that he was down to 22 HP.

'If I didn't have those potions on me, I probably would have bleed to death.' Jayce thought as he closed his menu.

He had such a hard time dealing with a few of them, so how was he going to take down the entire organization?

'I'll think about that later, for now, I need to find someplace to rest.'

"Do you know if there's lodging in town?"

"Yea, if you go south then turn on ya third left and keep walking ya should find an inn."

"Also, what about the mess I made?" It would be bad if someone were to see the current state of the shop.

"Don't worry about that, I have someone for that."

Grabbing a cloak out from one of the boxes and putting it on, Jayce and the dwarf headed back to the front of the shop.

Arriving back at the front, Jayce saw Ashley sitting in Mia's lap, facing away from all the bloodstains.

Crouching down next to Ashley, he gently rubbed her head with a slight smile on his face.

"Be good while I'm gone."

"P-promise you'll come back," Ashley said as he stretched her pinky out.

"I promise," Jayce replied as he wrapped his pinky around hers. Standing back up, he pushed open the door as he left the smithy.

To the right of the door was a small cube that looked similar to the cube in his inventory.

Throwing the hood over his head, he raised his foot and crushed the cube.

As soon as the cube was destroyed, a thin transparent layer around the smithy disappeared. Following the dwarf's instructions, Jayce headed south to find lodging.

After ten minutes or so, Jayce arrived in front of a building with a sign of a crescent moon in the night sky that had the words 'Night's Inn' under it.

Entering the building, Jayce was greeted with a bustling atmosphere. It seemed that the bottom floor was something similar to a tavern.

Tables were spread about and almost all of them were full of food, alcohol, and people. Walking through the gaps between the tables, Jayce made his way to the receptionist.

It was a human girl who looked like she was around fifteen or sixteen years old, wearing a maid costume that outlined the perks of her body.

She had short brown hair and gentle brown eyes that matched perfectly with her innocent face.

"Please wait one moment I'll be right with you." She said as she picked up four large wooden jugs of ale and brought them over to a table.

Quickly heading back behind the counter, she picked up a clipboard with a piece of paper on it.

"How can I help you today?" She asked with a big smile.

"I need a room for the night," Jayce responded as he tried familiarizing himself with the layout of the building.

"No problem, if you'll follow me I can show you to your room." Grabbing a key off of the wall, she walked out from behind the counter with Jayce following behind.

As she passed by one of the tables, an old man reached out his large hand and groped her butt.

"Eep!" She yelped in surprise as she swung her head around to see who had touched her. Seeing the fat old man who reeked of alcohol not only embarrassed her but infuriated her.

"Let go!" She demanded as she tried to move his hand, but no matter how hard she tried, the hand wouldn't move.

"I'm willing to pay extra if you're willing to provide me with some 'extra services." The old man said greedily as he licked his lips.

"No! Let go before-" Before she could finish, the hand had lost its grip on her.

"She said to let go." Turning behind her, she saw the stranger she had just met holding the man's wrist with one hand.

"How dare you grab me! Do you even know who I am? I'm the D-rank ma-"

"Don't care," Jayce said as he let go of the man's wrist and lunged at him, he grabbed the old man's face with his hand before lifting him and slamming him on the table.

The table broke under his weight, sending pieces of wood and splinters flying.

Everyone went quiet as they looked at the old man lying unconscious on the floor and the stranger who put him there.

Jayce turned back to the receptionist, who was still trying to process what had just happened.

"Take me to my room."

"R-right away!" She said nervously as she led the stranger upstairs. Once the two of them were gone from sight, everyone started to whisper about what just happened and who the mysterious stranger was.

Stopping in front of a room, the girl unlocked the door and pushed it open.

It was a simple room, it had a bed in the corner with a dresser against it and a window above it. In the other corner was the door to the bathroom, which had a small shower, a toilet, and a faucet.

Across the room from the bathroom was a desk accompanied by a wooden chair.

"This is your room, it'll be 25 copper every night, including meals that are served downstairs but we can bring them up to you if you'd prefer." She informed the stranger as she handed the key over to him.

"You can leave the meals outside my room." The stranger replied as he pulled out a gold coin from his satchel.

"Um, sir, that's way too much money and I won't be able to pay you back." She didn't know how to respond to being given a gold coin.

Never in her life had she held so much money in her hands before.

"Just take it, think of it as compensation for the scene earlier." Jayce only had gold coins on him and he just wanted to have something to eat and some sleep.

"Thank you. Have a good night." The girl said as she stepped out of the room and grabbed the door handle.

"I almost forgot, I need your name so I can write it down." Pulling the pencil from above her ear, she brought it down to the clipboard.

Taking a second to think about a name to give, one crossed his mind.

"Ryan"
