Following the trail, it took him only a few minutes to arrive at the end of it. Waiting for him was a blonde-haired teenager.
"Why are you still here?" Jayce asked.
"Someone has to open the portal for you," Edward responded as he pulled out a small rock from his storage ring.
The thought of how he was going to open the portal by himself never crossed his mind.
He was too focused on how he was going to get back to the portal rather than how he was going to open the portal.
"What's the rock for?" Jayce said, pointing at the small stone in Edward's hand.
It was also something he was curious about. When the Headmaster opened the portal, he didn't need to use a stone, yet Rose and Edward had to.
"Hmm, it's rather complicated but if I were to put it in simpler terms, these rocks are like keys," Edward explained.
