My Demonic Contract

'Nightmare can evolve?' Was Jayce's first thought upon seeing the message.

Nightmare was considered a cursed artifact, but it was very different from any other artifact Jayce had seen. The cursed armor, for a lack of better words, was alive.

It often communicated with him through the system, Jayce didn't know if the system was simply translating Nightmare's thoughts or if it was using the system to talk to him.

After the incident with Nightmare taking over his body and killing a nurse at the Academy, then the body somehow ended up being stored in his inventory without his consent, Jayce has been keeping an eye on it.

Yet, other than telling him that it was hungry or that it was in pain, it didn't really say anything else. Jayce didn't know if it couldn't because its intelligence was low or if it simply didn't care about anything else.
