Season Two: Chapter Thirty Two (Part IV)

Surprisingly, Chelsea jumped down from the couch and ran into her room without saying another word. Lia and Chase shared a concerned look, wondering if the news had shocked their daughter so much that she was not ready for the truth.

"Maybe... this is not the right time..." Chase sighed. "I mean, I am just getting bonded with her. And she's just started to get used to me..."

"I didn't know she would take it in so badly. I thought..." Lia lowered her gaze and mumbled, fidgeting her hands in her lap.

"Hey..." The man drew closer to Lia, placing his hands over the woman while Lia laid her head on his head. "It's not your fault. It was mine, remember? Everything is my fault."

Lia sniffed a quiet sob, not wanting to show her weakness the moment Chase was there with her. But the man was not dumb enough to not see what was with her.
