Crossing The Lines

"Can you... can you stay for the night?"

Chase could hear the whisper from Lia clearly, as he had held his breath when he felt the warm hand placed on his back. And he could even hear the abnormal heartbeats coming from either himself or Lia. There, both of them stood still after the woman had thrown the question out, trying to calm their frantic hearts before anything else. They both have to calm themselves down to avoid any impulse to take them over.

But seeing that there was no response from Chase, Lia took it negatively, as she assumed that the man was not into the idea of staying at her apartment any longer. So sadly, as she bit her bottom lips, she removed her touch from Chase.
