Nine Nether Frost Sword Source Technique

'Nine Nether Frost Sword Source Technique...'

Digging deeper into his memories about his last dream,  Atlas was finally able to get a clue about the mysterious sword technique the killer him had used to kill the Dylan in his dream. This technique was indeed named the Nine Nether Frost Sword Source Technique, and was a cultivation method that used an entirely different kind of energy than mana or qi. Thankfully, he was in fact able to remember the exact cultivation method of technique, and could practice it if he wished to.

Atlas also figured out some other information from his memories about the dream as well. In his dream, Dylan had awakened a Mana Talent of SSS grade in his Junior year of the high school, and became the first person to be able to cultivate both Mana and Qi, as well as having the highest recorded talent level. This awakening of his didn't affect his elemental alignment, but it boosted his talent with the Qi energy to the SSS level. This had caused him to become highly valued by the alliance and protected by it.

Then something Atlas couldn't clearly remember had happened that caused him and Dylan to part ways, and made Atlas want to kill Dylan. This part of his memory was exceptionally blurry, just like that mysterious sentence, presumed to be told by a woman.

Although Atlas wasn't sure why the him in his dream had killed Dylan, he could remember that the him in his dream didn't want to kill Dylan because he hated him or anything like that. It was if something had happened that made Dylan's death crucial for Atlas, and that was why he had killed Dylan.

This reason probably wasn't his family or friends being held hostage, as the Atlas in his dreams had personally killed them in his conquest to kill Dylan. In fact, even the Emperor stage ancestor of Atlas had been killed by him in the dream. This was done without the usage of the Nine Nether Frost Sword Source Technique, but the Atlas in his dream had simply used his wood elemental mana to do so.

This was simply incomprehensible as his talent level would only allow him to grow up to the Royal stage. The known herbs and medicine could only improve one's talent by a minor level at maximum, so it shouldn't be possible for him to kill an Emperor stage powerhouse whether now or in the future.

Atlas thought that his dream was simply nonsense. Yet he still had that feeling deep inside him, telling that he should never forget this dream, even if it hurts his mind to remember it. He also discovered that this dream of him wasn't very long, yet it was if a week long worth of information compressed within a single dream. This felt as if his dream was a compilation of most a person's most important memories throughout that person's life.

'Could this be? .....no way right.... that shouldn't be possible.'

This dream of his felt very real. More real than even his current life right now. So even if he wished to pretend that it was just a simple dream, he couldn't anymore.

'Are these really memories of future? That really shouldn't be possible, but.... I know! I will try to practice that Nine Nether Frost Sword Source Technique. If the technique is real, then... this really wouldn't simply be just a dream.'

So Atlas got off his bed and stood up. His legs were feeling a little numb as he had been sitting cross-legged in meditating position, pondering for quite a long time now. He lightly shook his legs to get rid of the numb feeling in his legs and imagined the Nine Nether Frost Sword Source Technique inside his head. Thankfully he was a genius in terms of memory, so he wouldn't need to write it on a paper to not forget about it. How convenient.

'Nine Nether Frost Sword Source Technique. This technique allows the practitioner to forge a nine nether frost sword source inside their abdomen, and use it to cultivate glacial sword energy which will then be used as the material to forge a nether frost sword within one's body. These frost sword were energy from objects that could be summoned out of the practitioner's body to use it as a weapon to fight.

There were two perquisites to practice this technique. One, the practitioner must have alignment with either water or ice element, and their talents must at least be C+ tier. Two, the practitioner must sacrifice their elemental alignment with either with water or/and ice element in order to use it as a core material to forge the Nine Nether Frost Sword Source.

When Atlas remembered about this part inside his mind, he couldn't help but to let out a cold breath. To sacrifice one's affinity/alignment with an element would cause them to not be able to use that element to cultivate in the future, effectively killing of their potential.

The enemies of the Humanoid alliance (name for the alliance that humans are a part of) commonly destroyed the captured hostages elemental alignments, instead of crippling their cultivation. After one loses their elemental alignment, if one didn't have another elemental alignment, one wouldn't be able to cultivate in the future or recover energy on their own, and could only do so by relying on herbs and medicine. Their cultivation would also decay by time, and their journey to immortality would come to an end.

This technique, however, asked it's practitioner to sacrifice their elemental alignment to be able to start practicing it.

In one word, Overbearing. In two words, Completely Tyrannical.

Yet, Atlas was willing to take this risk. Yes, he might be stupid for even trusting a technique he had only seen in his dream. Yes, this was a technique used by the killer in his dream who killed Atlas' entire family.

Yet, Atlas chose to trust his feelings over his sense of reason. He knew that if his dream was in fact what would happen in the future, he must definitely fix it in a way where everyone he knew and care for would reach a happy ending.
